I have fallen victim to the hype. After how many years??? I'm swatching for a Ranunculus. I am trying to start a knit a long in my roller derby league so I don't have to walk this path alone, but, I fear everyone who has joined has done so out of an abundance of new years hope and aspiration.
The yarn is Capra from Knit Picks in Loganberry, the lighter of the two purples they have right now. It's on its way out though, so here's to hoping I don't need more! My gauge is off in both stitches and rows, 16 stitches and 21 rows to 4 inches instead of the 14 and 20 the pattern calls for. But, this fabric is loose enough, thanks.
As for the yarn post blocking, holy shit is this soft! It did bleed like crazy in cold water though. I've hand dyed stuff that had less color runoff. I hope this is a fast knit because I want to wear the softness!

Sewed for five hours straight today and it was such a pleasure, but now fatigue is hitting me like a blow to the head.

The plan is to blend the vertically stacked pair. I've been fascinated by the combination of purple and gold/brown, but I know it could go very very wrong.
