I won’t go into detail in this post but here are some notes about what’s going on:

- Morning Glory and Clever Clover are married and parents to the colt Fleur

- Proudfoot and Dainty Dove are Light Heart's parents

- I really liked my concept art of Sky Skimmer and had to draw her again<3

“The village kids said those Team Plasma goons would’ve brought the kidnapped Gible here,” Iris murmurs, gaze fixed beyond the rusting chain-link fence, toward the dilapidated warehouse looming in the distance.

Cilan squirms uneasily at her side. “I don’t know about this, Iris…” he says. “This feels far better suited to Officer Jenny than to—well—us.”

She scoffs. “Don’t be absurd,” Iris says, already starting to scale the fence. “If Team Plasma’s hurting Pokémon again, I’m not standing by and doing nothing. They’ll wish it had been Officer Jenny.”

She lands on the other side with catlike precision and faces him. “Well, are you coming?”

Of course he’s coming. Unova Champion or not, she can’t go at this alone.

Cilan exhales through his nose, equal parts dread and resignation, then hoists himself up after her. His foot snags halfway, and his descent to the other side is far less elegant: more flail than finesse, with a graceless thud to punctuate it.

His world spins in kaleidoscopic splendor, and when his gaze regains its focus, he finds Iris’s maroon eyes trained directly on him. She looks worried at first, but when back to his senses, the expression melts into its familiar exasperation.

“You know, if we get caught, I’m blaming you,” she sighs.

She turns and continues onward. Cilan glowers after her and, wobbling, stands to dust himself off.

“Why do you even bring me along for these things?” he complains. “I specialize in many areas—culinary arts, detective work, rapid transit—and vigilantism is certainly not one of them.”

Iris halts mid-step. She glances back at him, blinking.

“Because I can’t imagine doing this without you,” she says as though it were the most obvious matter in the world.

Cilan stares back at her, mouth slightly—unflatteringly—ajar.

Iris coughs and faces forward again. “Anyway, it’s not really vigilantism if you’re with me, so… let's go.”
