They both watch as you laugh and the man tilts towards you, getting a nice view of your tits from his higher angle. Robby immediately regrets buying you that top.

"Should we step in?"

"Not yet," she says calmly, sipping her latte while her eyes stay locked on you.

You turn to them then, smile and wave happily while the man's gaze follows yours and his face drops. You exchange a couple more words and then you're back at the table, sliding two plates with three slices of baked goods on each one. "They didn't have any poppyseed bund cake left," your smile sincere, "but they gave me a slice of tres leches cake instead."

"Did they?"

Your head tilts at Robby's tone, "Yeah. Did you really want the bund cake? I can try making it at home if—"

"I don't care about the damn cake," he starts, already frustrated, but stops himself when your face falls. Robby rubs the back of his neck with one hand and reaches for you with the other. "Sorry, honey. Of course I care. Tres leches sounds delicious, thank you."

You giggle at the way he pronounces it, "don't thank me, you paid for it."

And he did, you have his card on your phone for a reason. He softens a little at that, chucking under your chin, "atta girl."

"Who was the man?" It's rare for Baran to be the one not letting things go. Her lips flatten when you look confused. "The one that was talking to you?"

"Oh! He thought he recognized me but I think he confused me with someone else." You start cutting each slice in three. "He liked my top, asked where I got it so I said my daddy bought it for me."

You look up then, your smile still innocent. "I told him he could ask you if he was interested, maybe he wanted it for his girlfriend?"

Robby has to adjust his pants. "Right."

"Okay," Baran slides her sunglasses on and reaches for her purse. "We'll take the cakes to go."

You pout, "but—"

Baran ignores you and looks at Robby over the rim of her glasses. "You take care of him, I'll get started with her?"
