Writing Roundup 2025
Thank you to @onthewaytosomewhere and @anincompletelist for the tag.
It seems like 2025 was a bit less productive. I wrote 18 stories this year, down from 21 in 2024, but I had a lot of fun with them. I even managed to do a full month of daily posting in October, which I'm quite proud of.
This year, I ended up writing for two new fandomsâArcane and Heated Rivalryâin addition to RWRB, and THAT has been quite an interesting experience.
total fics -> 18 total word count -> 139,893 active fandoms -> Red White & Royal Blue; Arcane; Heated Rivalry most kudos'ed -> unkissed (Heated Rivalry) most hits -> 'cause you mess me, test me, wreck me, yeah (RWRB) longest fic -> waiting for you (to come home) (RWRB) shortest fic -> garden of love (RWRB)
My 2026 goals are quite vague tbh. I want to finish at least some of my current wips and tackle some new ideas in all 3 fandoms. I want to take part in some more veents and just have a general good time đ
My 2024 roundup is here. The breakdown by months for 2025 is under the cut.
⌠JANUARY âŚ
premonition of love | GA | 3.7K
The smell of old books and the soft hum of quiet conversations feel like a refuge from the storm pouring outside. The bookstore is small, with just a few square rooms and walls full of books. But once he ascends the steps to the second floor, Alex finds himself among the azure heavens. Painted in gleaming gold, planets spiral in their orbits towards the sun, as tiny golden stars assume their places in constellations on the splendid ceiling. He lets his head fall back as his eyes marvel at the hand-painted mural of constellations, stars, and planetsâmodelled after the ceiling of a music room of a certain German villa. He thinks of cerulean blue eyes and the reflection of Orion in them.
Or: Seven years ago, Alex and Henry split up, unable to conquer the distance between them.
this could be the start of something new (it feels so right to be here with you) | T | 4.5K
Alex hesitates, feeling the moment slipping away. âActually, I just⌠I wanted to say thank you. Your book⌠really meant a lot to me. It helped me figure out some stuff about myselfââ and he pauses, fearing heâll just trail off again. Henryâs hand pauses mid-signature, and Alex thinks he might have saved it, that Henry might look back at him with his soft eyes, but his expression doesnât soften. âGlad to hear it,â he says curtly, finishing the autograph and sliding the book across the table towards Alex. âNext.â Alex stares at him, stunned. The interaction has been so far from what heâd envisioned that he just canât process it yet. He mumbles a quiet âThanks, man,â and walks away, the weight of the signed book suddenly heavier in his hands.
Or: Sometimes it doesn't work right from the start. After a series of failed meetings, Alex and Henry need to figure out how they can fit into each other's lives.
⌠FEBRUARY âŚ
call me that again | GA | 2.4K
It actually all started as a mistake. Henry, ever the responsible one, reminded Alex about their scheduled visit to the museum for that afternoon. And Alex, focused on the papers in front of him, just muttered, "Aw, thanks, snickerdoodle." Henry froze mid-sip of his tea. "I beg your pardon?" His entire posture was stiffened, and the crease between his brows was deep. âWhat?â Alex said, unaware of what the issue was. âYou just called meââ Henry paused and tilted his head. ââa cookie?â
Or: Alex tries out a series of pet names. At first it's a jokeâuntil he finds the perfect one.
âŚand live from NY | GA | 3.3K
âWelcome back, everybody! Our first guest tonight is an Oscar-nominated actor you know from The Glass Prince. He has just returned to host Saturday Night Live for the second time, after 3 years." "His first hosting gig was memorable in its own right, but now heâs surprised everyone even more." "Joining us tonightâto talk about not only his most recent project but also the latest developments in his personal lifeâplease welcome back to the show Henry Fox, everybody!â
Or: Three years after his first appearance on SNL, Henry hosted the show for a second time. He talks about some special moments on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
⌠MARCH âŚ
jacket on (jack it off) | E | 10.5K
There, at the foot of the bed, stands Alex, bathed in the morning light, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he catches Henry watching him in the mirror. Henry might be still woozy, but his eyes are sharp, following every deliberate movement Alex makes as he brings his hand to the front of his towel, tugging on it and letting it unravel to the floor. âEnjoying the view?â Alex asks. Henry narrows his eyes, though the faint blush in his cheeks betrays him. âIâd enjoy it a lot more if you wouldnât ruin it by getting dressed.â
Or: As Alex gets dressed and ready for work, Henry is overwhelmed by the vision in front of him. So he takes the matter into his own hands.
oui, oui, paris! | E | 2K
Henry's hips rock backwards instinctively like he canât help himself, chasing every deep and unforgiving thrust the machine provides. Alex lets out a breathless laugh, peppered with delight. âLook at you,â he murmurs. âSupposed to be so composed, so fucking proper. But youâre drooling all over my cock while youâre getting fucked open.â
Or: Caught between Alex's cock and a fucking machine, Henry experiences bliss.
⌠MAY âŚ
garden of love | GA | 1.3K
Henry always thought of his love like a seed. One that will bloom into a beautiful, everlasting flower. Or at least, thatâs what he hoped for. But as he grew up, his flower was so fragile, so unattended by all the boys he ever met, that it was bound to wither and die.
Or: Henry's love is like a garden.
in the magic fabric of our dreaming | T | 12..5K
âHenry!â Alex yells and catches Henryâs wrist, stopping him from taking any more steps. Henry turns back around and lets his eyes drop to where Alexâs fingers round against his pulse point. âIâm sorryâ,â Alex says as he lets go of the wrist. âIâm sorry I snapped.â Alex continues as he starts to pace left to right. âI know yâall are best friends, and I know she loves you and always wants you around. Thatâs why itâs weird to me that she didnât tell you her plans.â He pauses his pacing and pushes one hand through his already unruly curls before he continues. âI just have this gut feeling that something is wrong, that she's gone in some way, and Iâ" Alex lets out a deep breath as he lifts his stiff shoulders and looks down at the sidewalk. He murmurs, "I don't do well when people leave." A stillness falls between them, and Alex's heart begins to rush, fearing that Henry will simply turn around and walk away. âLetâs go find her,â Henry answers.
Or: In a world full of magic, it's easy to stop believing in it.
⌠JUNE âŚ
no margin for error | M | 1.7K
Viktor steps back as heâs suddenly aware of how much he just revealed. His voice starts to tremble now, barely a whisper. âWe built that car around you, Jayceâand we trust you with it. But Iâm starting to think you no longer trust yourself.â Jayce stares back at the screens around the office, still showing the image of the crushed car. âI canât drive slower; I canât give up the fight.â âIâm not asking you to,â Viktor nods. âIâm just asking you not to make me mourn you.â
Or: Jayce crashing in Monaco triggers painful memories for Viktor, as well as a confession.
pearl necklace (and other delights) | E | 5K
âBaby, itâs beautiful!â âIâm sure theyâll look even more spectacular against your skin, darling. May I?â âYeah, fuck, yes, please!â Henry takes the necklace out and places the box on the vanity table next to the door. Turning back to Alex, he steps around him and fastens the necklace around his neck, securing the clasp with care. His fingers are steady and reverent as they drape the pearl strand around Alexâs neckâthe delicate necklace cool against his warm skin. The pearls catch the low light of the room, each one gleaming softly with a quiet promise. The necklace settles around his neck, just a bit loose, so it touches the tip of his collarbones. One pearl slides next to the other, weighted just enough to draw the eye.
Or: Henry gifts Alex a pearl necklace...or two.
hey, baby (I think I wanna marry you) | E | 5.7K
Henry stays on the porch step, just watching. Just looking. It feels like itâs the only thing heâs supposed to do right nowâhe should just let the world slow around him, let the red cliffs hold them still for a little longer, and look at the man he loves. He doesnât think heâll ever get used to the way Alex glows in the morning. Not like this, anyway. Thereâs no put-together sharpness, no fast-talking charm turned all the way upâjust soft Alex. Sleepy, gentle eyes still crinkled from the pillow, sweatshirt sleeves too long over his wrists, and those damned soft curls that seem to be holding the secrets of the universe. And this knocks something loose in Henry every single time.
Or: Alex's curls are wild in the morning breeze and Henry can't get enough of his boyfriend.
⌠AUGUST âŚ
please keep your door shut | GA | 7.3K
Alex has never seen so many shades of green in one place. The Welsh countryside rolls out before him, hills rising and falling in gentle waves, dotted with sheep that watch his rented Fiat with mild, unbothered curiosity. He follows the directions he received from the Airbnb host, winding past stone fences and wild hedges, until he reaches the cottage he bookedâa storybook place with wisteria in bloom and a garden that looks like it belongs in a fairy tale.
Or: Alex books an Airbnb in the Welsh countryside.
cracked chest, numb heart (let me take your world apart) | E | 2.5K
âYou react to pain,â Viktor says, almost like he is noting down lab results. âIt makes you⌠attentive.â Jayce shivers when those fingers slip lower over his abdomen, gliding down towards the waistband of his sweats. Heâs hard and heâs been hard for a while. Focusing on the pain inflicted by the needle and on Viktorâs beautiful face was more attention grabbing than feeling his cock fill out slowly. But Viktor apparently noticed.
Or: Jayce gets his first tattoo and Viktor gives him something extra too
⌠SEPTEMBER âŚ
dance with me (so we don't cry) | T | 3.5K
The club is too full, too loud. The sound of the bass is hammering through the floor, like a slow, thunderous pulse rattling up Alexâs legs and lodging somewhere deep behind his ribs. The air is thick with body heat and body spray, while neon strobe lights are flickering left and right overhead, painting the crowd in fast-moving snapshots. The club is packed, and all the bodies on the dance floor are moving like one amorphous creature in a beat-heavy trance, dancing as if their lives depend on it. But Alex isnât dancing.
Or: Alex is on a date and Henry has a boyfriend. And then they meet on the dance floor.
⌠OCTOBER âŚ
'cause you mess me, test me, wreck me, yeah | E | 45.3K
Cocktober 2025 - a collection of 31 stories
⌠NOVEMBER âŚ
it's so sweet (knowing that you love me) | E | 7K
Jayce groans, blinking against the morning light streaming through the blinds of his bedroom. His whole body feels heavy and electric, buzzing with the remnants of the dream thatâs still clinging to his skin. He dreamt about Viktor. Again.
Or: As a new morning rolls around, Jayce's dreams of Viktor finally do come true.
waiting for you (to come home) | T | 17K
Alex didnât plan to be a dad. Scratch that. Alex hasnât even thought about being a dad. Kids are something for future Alex toâmaybe, possiblyâsomeday consider, once he has his shit together. Present-day Alex doesnât know how to feel and what to think. His career has just started to grow wings. But the thought of having a child and knowingly abandoning itâjust like he was abandonedâAlex canât even think about that.
Or: When Alex knocks up his one-night stand and ends up raising the child as a single parent, his roommate steps in to help.
⌠DECEMBER âŚ
unkissed | E | 4K
âSo, uh, Iâm off,â Shane says from the other room. Ilya can hear his steps heading towards the door. Ilya remains in the bed, undressed and unmoved, staring blankly at the wall. âGoodbye, Hollander,â is all he can say. Ilya hears the door click shut. It didnât even slam. It closed softly. Almost makes it worse. A few words and a soft click, and Hollander is gone. âFuuuck,â Ilya groans, teeth almost biting into the filter of his cigarette. We didnât even kiss, Ilya thinks as he lets his head fall back against the headboard.
Or: Ilya is the one regretting they didn't even kiss.
