the world is so neutered it genuinely makes me soooo angry. you can't access any porn web sites in america without providing a selfie and your legal ID. if you save one photo of a shirtless guy to a pinterest board not only will pinterest disable pin recommendations for that board based on their "decency" algorithm, they will notify you that your board violates their policy. this website (and a few others) won't let you search any nsfw terms or even vaguely naughty words without censoring it for you and saying "this search looked sexy so we've prevented you from seeing results!" like what the fuck are we doing? i'm a 28 year old person. i'm an adult. i've seen naked people. i've had sex. if i want to look at some porn i should be able to do that. if i want to see erotic imagery online then i should be able to do that. what are these websites trying to protect me from? what are these websites trying to stop me from seeing or feeling or learning? why don't i get to decide what i see or feel or learn?
Bc we don’t want minors or children accessing porn or any adult content
(I speak from traumatic experience)
boo-fucking-hoo that is still not an excuse for governments to step in and mandate censorship. you people are so stupid they’re going to get away with fascism because you can’t even look beyond the tip of your own nose for two fucking seconds and use some common fucking sense. not everything is about you and your feelings. the internet was not designed for children and does not revolve around the needs of children.
#i think of it like the back of spencers#they dont id you to go in there. any kid can just wander back#i was always kinda scared of the store as a little kid#and my parents obviously wouldve never taken me there#but around highschool? left at the mall for a few hours?#curious what everyone was talking about?#yeah i went back there#i didnt understand most of it and it kinda scared me as a 14yo#but like. i was fine.#thats what the internet is#yeah theres a few my little pony shirts but theres also shirts that say fuck and cum and shot glasses that look like tits#and some of that might make you uncomfortable! so its your job to look away (via @take-my-up-votes)
Censorship laws in their current forms are governments using pearl clutching 'think of the children' rhetoric in order to enact mass surveillance on its citizens.
If a country wants to censor entire websites and make adults identify themselves online constantly... but they don't put the same level of enthusiasm (or money) into healthcare, childcare, education, housing, or living standards: THEY DON'T ACTUALLY GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE CHILDREN.
Its really funny how people see a grown white man, engaging with and supporting music by other white men that uses the rape, murder and abuse of poc as an aesthetic and have nothing but immediate defense for him without ever even considering that maybe he did something ignorant and insensitive. Then they go so far as to defend that music and the ppl who made it, and even tout them as leftists because they've fooled themselves into believing white supremacy isn't an issue in alt spaces even though black people especially have been screaming about it for decades. And by funny I mean depressing.
Connor’s fans were ready to hang Hudson out to dry or shoot him dead over a marking drawn on his face, that was obviously not drawn by him. Yet now, all of a sudden, nothing means anything when it’s a grown white man being put on blast.
Cope if you need. Wait for more info, that’s all fine and good. I am doing the same, but to try and say he didn’t mean his nazi-adjacent support to be taken as real nazi-adjacent support is a lot of rope extended. It’s a lot of grace given, when Hudson and those of us looking into what went on with him were called every name but a child of god for being suspicious.
Connor has not been a victim of constant harassment and vocalized attempt to smear his name. Connor has claimed that SoundCloud account as his. Connor did remove himself from the crew’s reposting of a statement denouncing equal and just treatment for all. Connor has not shown himself standing in solidarity with much of anything outside of “Hudson is a human and wants to be treated like one.” and “I’m not a woman, so I can’t speak for them.” Which yes, good points made, but where does he stand if we dig deeper?
Who is Connor Storrie outside of vague agreements about not type casting his Asian co-star or speaking over women fans of his show? I’m not saying he is a horrible person, but in light of what’s going around, it is possible Connor is charming for a reason. He’s handsome and seemingly fun to be around, but also apparently enjoys music amplifying Putin and Hitler enthusiasts. He also seemingly enjoys serial killers to a fault. It is not wrong to step back and question if the joy he exudes is to cover up for his more disturbing interests.
Again, this does not make him a terrible person off rip. Some people know their personal interests are dark and could lead to misunderstandings, so they mask as to not cause issue, even if they know they’ll never act out in aggression, but that doesn’t mean other people have to put up with it once it comes to light.
For me personally, I would much prefer Connor just be a guy with a twisted sense of humor and dark interests, versus being someone who actually believes in the propaganda this stuff suggests. Until he says his piece, however, I’m going to assume him being an adult doing this stuff means he at least knows better, and I am going to expect better.

You can really tell who got invited to parties in high school and who didn't based on their reactions to the photos those freakshows on Twitter dug up.
I 100% do believe a bunch of shitty drunk white kids at a party thought it would be sooooo funny to draw hate symbols on an Asian kid. To me, that photo is just more proof of what Hudson has had to put up with while daring to exist as a POC in a white dominated space.
All these horny parasocial freakshows digging years and years back into his past to find something, anything to use against him, is just more proof of what POC have to put up with in this space. At the end of the day, even with other POC heading the charge against Hudson, they're still doing so at what they feel to be the behest of two white men. Which is telling.
I'll tell you right now, as someone who worked in tech, when Hudson was vocally antagonistic towards AI, I can promise that some rich guys made some calls. I'm not joking. They've made them over much less. Just ask college professors who spoke a little too positively of Marxism at schools dependent on their donations. But I digress.
This entire smear campaign reeks of the plays the Epstein class used to organize on 4Chan. They're weaponizing anti-racism to do a racism. They want Hudson gone, but people like him. People are supporting him because they want to see more POC in Hollywood. So, they have to convince people he's racist. To kill the organic fandom he's built independent of the Hollywood machine.
They did the same thing during Gamer Gate. When women pointed out what slimy unfuckable troglodytes most of them were, they quite effectively shut that up by weaponizing body positivity against them. That's what's happening here, and I can promise you at a scale this organized, the smear campaign is being funded by some fuck-ass tech bro with investments in AI.
I know what racism looks like when I see it, and I don't see it in these pictures of one lone Asian kid trying to fit in.
I see it in the absolute relentless determination of the people trying to ruin his life, because he dared to succeed alongside his white costar. I see plenty of it fucking there.
Strategic Silence: Why A-Listers Don't Issue Statements If They Can Avoid It
Hudson is a new celebrity, but he and Connor are definitely getting A-List treatment now, so they are going to operate from that space. Just sharing some context as to why A-Listers avoid public statements:
Legal Liability: While not applicable in Hudson's case, entertainers are advised not to admit fault or discuss details publicly to avoid compounding their legal risks.
Feeding the Beast: Reacting to a scandal usually feeds the online outrage machine. By staying silent, PR teams can shorten the news cycle and allow the story to fade away.
Controlling the Narrative: A rushed apology often makes the situation worse because it is perceived as insincere. Silence gives the celebrity's team time to gather facts, assess brand damage, and prepare a highly controlled response.
In this age of reality TV and internet celebrities posting statements almost immediately, remember that major celebrities try to avoid it. If they make a formal statement, it is because they HAVE to as a worst-case scenario. Once they make a statement, it lives forever, especially if it's a video - case in point, that awful Johnny Depp apology video.
While a statement may offer short-term damage control, it permanently ties the celebrity’s name to the scandal and lives on forever as a direct connection to the event. The fact that the photo exists is not great, but he is VISIBLY younger in that photo - juxtapose that with current day Hudson talking about it now....TOO SOON.
If this continues to fade away as it seems to be now, I suspect Hudson will address it later, as I mentioned before, in a print interview, similar to how he addressed the Letterbox mess in Wonderland, once things have died down, they can control the narrative and hopefully expand the discussion.
I've done this before but I'll give it a revamp. A good way to positively support Hudson right now is to support his short films. Leave a like or a comment showing love not just for Hudson but for the film itself!

I'm also Asian and I'm telling you're fuckass anons right now that if I was at a school party in the middle of the woods with a bunch of drunk, possibly high on some drugs white people and they've started saying, doing some racist shit and acting like nazis, I'm immediately going to feel unsafe and I'm keeping my mouth shut. There's no calling out racist behavior or speeches about racism. I'm gonna suck it up and I am playing it cool until I can get away.
This is the part where white people will never understand. Because yall keep saying he should've known something was being drawn on him, he should've done something about it blah blah blah. For us POC, sometimes the only way to stay safe is to be quiet. Because I sure as hell am not getting murdered by drunk racist white kids in the middle of the woods for that.
Yes it sucks. But I'd rather live.
YES YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!! I think it all comes down to white people being unable to conceptualize that sort of danger— to them, there’s no problem because they are often the ones causing it. I’ve been in situations where friends of friends have said some deeply fucked shit and I’ve felt like I had to stay silent because I didn’t know how they would react. Especially when you’re a teenager you tend to prioritize your own safety, and anyone who blames Hudson for acknowledging the danger he was potentially in (and frankly good on him for being able to do that while drunk) is someone I would not want around me when I’m forced to be around those people.
Real life is not a movie. Speeches about why Nazism is bad don’t do shit except put a target on your back. In the middle of the woods. While you are under the influence.
If Hudson knew what was happening (unlikely) and he did say something, who knows what his story would have been. I would like to hope that he would have made it out of the woods, but I truly can’t say that with confidence. And this is something that all the white people complaining will never understand. And I’m glad they don’t. I never want anyone to feel like we do. But they can’t claim that feeling doesn’t exist.
And this goes especially for Asians. We’re the expendable people of color, shoved to the side, tacked on at the end if we’re lucky. Would anyone have cared if one more kind, talented, brave, Asian boy went missing? Would they look for him? Would it make the news? Would anyone go to prison? Do we care about the missing and murdered Asian people that are missing and murdered right now?
Some people will never understand the true answers to those questions. And good, I don’t want them to. I don’t want them to have to live in our reality. But let’s not pretend it doesn’t exist, okay?
Today they're trying to cancel Hudson because a bunch of white high schoolers in bumfuck, whiteland drew a nazi symbol and "AIDS" on his face and let him be photographed like that while they were all drunk in the woods.
Because, as we all know, Nazis love Asians.
They also want to know why a "straight" boy had "AIDS" drawn on his face by his classmates.
He had to grow up in that and survive it and now he's succeeded despite it they want him to explain why he wanted it and took it.
This is what Black and brown people have to deal with to live among you undescribable assholes.

It is about fucking time a major media outlet actually writes about the smear campaign against Hudson. Not to give EW many props but it’s more than most have done.
heeeyyy. There's scs from this Tiktok user defending H going around. I copied this comment from them earlier and maybe if you post it it'll have a wider reach 🫰🫰
@Lesbian:Not gonna type it out again so here is a copy of another comment i wrote: @Lesbian: Im in his year, and was literally at that party, it was a bush party and it was dark as fuck. No one knew what was written on them unless it was somewhere they could see. He was NOT the only poc to have that symbol drawn on them that night. Kamloops is racist as fuck. Also, total strangers write on you. It’s one of the biggest parties of the year for grade 12s. EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL ATTENDS. Everyone writes on each other. Everyone is drunk. Most people write in sharpie.
@Lesbian:@Lesbian: There are two big tradition parties in kamloops, one at the end of the year for the grade 11s and 12s, and another the night before the school year starts for the new grade 12s in September. They are MASSIVE and always held out in the bush so the cops dont get called. It’s dark as fuck, no bathrooms (if you wanna piss you gotta go behind a tree lmao). Also, our year there wasnt even a bonfire because of fire bans, so literally the only light at this party was shitty phone lights, flashlights/headlamps if you had them. And again, everyone is drunk. He 100% had no idea what was written on him. Some shitwad did that and now he is being punished, and no one is even listening to the facts about the people THAT WERE THERE.
People are speaking up about everything on TikTok. Take what you want from it 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Seeing all this Hudson Williams discourse and I have genuine questions.
I see people saying “He needs to address the hurt he’s caused” but what did Hudson do specifically?
Someone drew a disgusting and hateful symbol on him. Then someone took a picture and posted it.
He didn’t draw it. He didn’t post the pic. The TMZ statement said he didn’t know what was being drawn on him.
So, where is he at fault in this situation? What exactly should he be apologizing for? Or what does he “need to be held accountable for”- being around terrible people as a teenager?
I am genuinely asking in good faith.
I love how there are so many research articles out there — that are backed up by licensed experts and actual victims/survivors — that prove creative writing, including dark fiction, can help a lot of victims and survivors heal from their trauma (not all, obviously, but it works for a lot of people) but there are still some random people on the internet who are like “actually no I support victims and survivors, because I’m such a good person, but if they heal in a way that I personally do not approve of then I am gonna shame them and call them predators. like why would they do that especially without my permission ewww disgusting”

Simu Liu speaking facts 👏🏽
Okay so another thing I'm seeing is people like... being like oh the person who drew it on him probably wasn't being malicious it was probably just a silly prank it was just supposed to be funny so it's not really a hate crime but that doesn't mean Hudson should be blamed for it. And I can't tell if this is just like, people being defensive of whichever white kid drew it on him or if they sincerely don't understand that a hate crime doesn't really have a consciously racist malicious intent prerequisite...People are acting on unconscious racism all the time and also how is drawing a swastika on a poc as a joke like...not automatically violent. Like can you explain why the joke could hypothetically be funny to them besides "It's funny to draw the symbol of the group of people who wants to eradicate his race on his own head."
