Hiya! Call me Cross -- like the fork in the road. I’m a fanfic writer for a lot of different fandoms. I don’t have one specific one I lean on the most; I tend to cycle through depending on what I’m in the mood for at the moment.

My AO3 profile is here, under CrossingTheFourthWall. The only reason the name is different is because it’s a combination of my Tumblr name and my old Fanfiction.net name, FourthWallBreaker (I don’t post there anymore, but I’m leaving it up). I write for a wide variety of fandoms in accordance with whatever has my focus at the time.

IT SHOULD BE NOTED THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE MY FICS COULD BE LOCKED FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. Between AI scraping and people potentially using AI to read fics aloud without consent, my hand has been forced to lock things down a couple times, but I’ve undone that move afterwards. I want to leave things open for my readers, but there’s no telling how things will go in the future.

I have a Discord server!  Mostly it’s become a Tales of Arise fanfic writers hangout, but we’ve got interests beyond the Tales series. I post sneak peeks at my writing here, as well as talk about whatever interests have got my attention.

I do run a couple RP-centric blogs as well -- one for the aforementioned self-insert-ish OCs, Maria Carlsdale, and another for a kitsune-themed Ford Pines. Both haven’t seen a lot of attention (mostly because I don’t have a ton of experience in the RP community....), but if folks want to give them a poke, you’re more than welcome to! Just, ah, go easy on the blog designs for them? I don’t have the skills to go poking around at making them look super fancy like some people do.

Man-Made Harmony -- Currently staring down chapter 15, which goes up next year in August. I hope to have some things happening soon, but it's going to take me a bit to get there because of all the other projects rotating in my head.

Heaven's Shadow (Mobius FF/FFXIV 3.0) -- I finished the story that comes after A Realm Remembered last weekend. It will go up starting in Jan 2027, and (currently) will finish in October 2027.

Distant Cousins (FFVII/Trigun) -- wrote ch 90 today. I'm good through July of next year, but if I want to maintain at least a 6-month lead when Revelation drops, I'll want to be good through the end of 2027 at least. Hoping to write another three chapters in the next couple months.

Mobius Bound (Mobius FF) -- I could start writing chapter 7, but my upload schedule has a space for that by the end of next year, so I'm gonna hold off until I make some progress in my other fics. Whenever I finish either Distant Cousins or Man-Made Harmony, this one can get a little more attention. Otherwise, chapters written and posted are gonna be once in a blue moon.

I've seen videos of it and I've certainly thought about it!

The problem is I recently picked up Fantasian and I've been having a lot of fun with that one, too. XD Between that and all the fics I want to finish, I've got a slowly building list....
