End the Electoral College. Give statehood to Puerto Rico and Washington DC.

Investigate voter suppression and strengthen voting rights.

The Electoral College is not about fairness; in fact, it gives disproportionate representation to electoral power to the states with the lowest populations. When you take into account the number of electoral votes and the population for each state, a person’s vote is worth more or less based on the state they live in. For example: the vote of a person in Wyoming is worth the most, 3x the average American. On the other hand, the votes of Texans are worth the least. Every vote in the US is not worth the same.

As for ignoring certain states, that’s exactly what happens under the Electoral College. This is a map of the general election campaign events for the 2020 presidential election. The two presidential candidates held over 200 events, visiting just 17 states and ignoring 33 (and the District of Columbia). 

The current Electoral College system ensures that 11-12 battleground or swing states hold most, if not all of the electoral power. Former Wisconsin Governor and one-time presidential candidate said the quiet part out loud: “The nation as a whole is not going to elect the next president, 12 states are.”

For far too long, people have downplayed their own abilities, given hero-worship to organizations, and treated leaders as gods

One of the reasons I push back on people putting me up on some pedestal is because I know I am a leader.

I'm not currently the leader OF anything other than my own household. But that's going to change, hopefully in very short order.

When it does, the last thing in the world is for my organization to receive hero worship or for me to be treated as some sort of God.

All I will have done is replace other organizations and leaders with me. And that's what dictators do.

And I Fucking HATE dictators.

I am a person

Any organization I lead is a group doing a job. No matter how good we do or how important our work is, we will just be a group of people doing a job

And even if we take down billionaires on the regular, all we did is make regular people stop doing harm. They were not giants and I am no giant slayer. What I am is a person showing another person a better path and helping them get onto that path.

I don't need hero worship. I don't need worship at all.

That being said, a lot of the people I will take on absolutely do like to be worshipped and treated like gods and one of the best ways to take a human like this down is to ensure that they know that you know how fragile they are.

I *may* insist that THEY drop to their knees for me.

I may show a side of myself that's more dominant and assertive than any of you have seen

But make no mistake

In that moment; I am a person, talking to another person, in the way that I know they need to be talked to in order to get them off whatever pedestal or high horse they've put themselves on.

I'm very good at what I do. I'm good at everything, because I've had lots of time to study and practice. Do not worship me, go get practice of your own and you will be good at everything too. It's not that hard and I'm not special. You are smarter and more capable and better than you think you are. Confidence is free and effort is worth what you have to put into it.

I say all this to say this:

I'm going to be hard at work once I finish my third book.

I need to be able to afford to live

I'm just a girl. Thanks to my decades of practice seeing the root cause of certain problems, I've been able to notice certain paths to make certain problems go away.

But in order to make that happen, I'm going to pretty much constantly need help. I can't do this by myself.

I thank all of you who believe in me. I know some of this is vague, but I don't have a clear path in front of me. There are several valid and important paths for me to choose from; and no matter what, I need to choose for myself.
