So my dad was the assistant music editor on Tarzan, and idk if it was Bring Your Kid to Work Day or something but one day he did just that so there I was, this incredibly small 1st grader, in an absolutely cavernous recording studio with a full orchestra and a giant screen playing the scene they were taping the score for, and my little brain couldn't handle the big music and the big movie happening all at once so I started crying and it was the first time music ever brought me to tears and it was too much to take in so we stepped out of the studio and ran directly into Phil Collins, who looked to me very much like my dad, and in my delicate emotional state I became immediately convinced that my dad had been copied and nobody had told me so I started crying harder, and Phil Collins said something that was probably meant to be calming but it was with a British accent so I thought there was a copy of my dad in every country and I absolutely lost it at the notion that other kids would get to have my dad, and my dad ended up having to carry me back to the car.
So.
Sorry for crying very loudly at you Phil Collins, your work on Tarzan was so moving it triggered my first emotional breakdown.

Most countries have followed a similar trend in energy usage as they industrialize, dramatically increasing their use of the dirtier fossil fuels, especially coal. Although they are now building out renewables faster than anywhere else on Earth, China is the biggest recent example of this.
However, India seems to be taking a different path--one that has recently become viable with the dramatically dropping prices of solar and battery storage. India's economy is now growing faster than China's and they are fueling this growth mostly with renewables.
This would make India the first major country to power it's industrialization with renewable energy, essentially skipping the step between coal and transitioning to cleaner forms of energy.

As I mentioned previously, I am getting surgery for a debilitating health condition I've been dealing with 14 months (dragged out because of doctors' misdiagnoses) that's basically destroyed my quality of life. I'm in pain daily.
Unfortunately, the surgery can't be done in Canada because it requires expertise (details in the GFM). Also because I'm trans there are surgeons who just don't want to take my case or are prohibited by their hospital from doing it (a US surgeon was going to operate but was stopped by her hospital considering it "gender affirming care").
So I have to go to Madrid for it which will cost €40,000 (approx $60,000 CAD, Canadian Dollars). I don't expect to raise all $60,000, but I am trying to raise half of it ($30,000). My family will be helping with the other half,
I don't really expect to get the $30,000, because it's a LOT of money, but I'm in a desperate situation and in pain every single day. If you could donate anything or even just boost and share to any platforms/communities you can, it would help me so much. <
I don't like asking for money and I don't like using EG to fund raise, and I know it's a tough time for everybody right now economically, but as I said I'm desperate, so I hope you all understand me using my platform for this.
