Being a white minority is easier than being a racially diverse minority. Being a white disabled person? Easier.

Being a white queer person? Easier.

Being a white autistic person? Easier.

Being a white trans person? Easier.

Being a white woman? Easier.

I complain so often about how hard my experience as a disabled, nonbinary, neurodivergent person is but I should acknowledge that I do not face the worst of it. Even within my communities of people who face discrimination on the daily, there is still racism. And that is a huge fucking problem. Because we face discrimination ourselves and we should know better and yet this is still such an issue. There shouldn’t be racist queer people, there shouldn’t be racist disabled people, and so on. Do better.

And yes, not all of us are a part of the problem but we should still play our part in fixing it. Because it shouldn’t have to affect us for us to care. So acknowledge and call out the racism in your communities EVEN IF IT DOESNT AFFECT YOU
