A few weeks ago got myself into a situation where, erm.... I needed help. I felt so....broken and more than stupid. But the people who happened by and got me outta there were compassionate and never treated me like I was stupid. I said (probably too many times) "I'm sorry for wasting your time when there's more important stuff you probably need to do." But one of them stopped, turned and ever so kindly and softly said, "YOU are our only priority. YOU are all that is important." Well of course I sobbed. But to hear a complete stranger with all that they have probably seen and done say that little ole me was his only mission at this moment... A few days later, on just a piece of binder paper, I snail mailed a letter to their boss to say how I was treated, and they even let me give them a hug. I could not believe that I got a hand written note back from their boss telling me he was grateful a piece of advice he had given his staff was taken to heart and he thanked me for trusting them and for letting him know members of his staff had done well. I'm terrible at communication these days with my closest confidants, so I dunno what propelled me to do this. But this old lady sent an old fashioned letter and it was received well.
