My name is _ and I'm one of your constituents. I'm calling to urge you to vote NNO on KOSA - the Kids Online Safety Act. The bill's sponsors claim it will protect kids by placing a duty of care on online platforms to prevent anything that could be harmful. The power to decide what's harmful has been ceded to the FTC. FTC leadership is made by presidential appointment. Current president Lina Khan may proceed fairly, but what happens when the next Donald Trump is in the Oval Office? What if it's Trum himself? Do you trust a Trump appointee not to abuse this enforcement power? KOSA claims to protect kids, but it's poorly designed and, given time, it will absolutely and without question, harm LGBTQ children, adults, and anyone who needs information on reproductive health or abortion. KOSA author, Senator Marsha Blackburn, said she introduced KOSA in part - and I quote - "to protect minor children from the transgender in our society." The Heritage Foundation proudly said they'll apply pressure through KOSA to block information about abortion, reproductive health, & LGBTQ issues. Vote NO on KOSA.

So, yes, your voice does make a difference because if everyone else is thinking "Well, my voice doesn't matter so why bother" then you and sixteen of your online buddies can go ahead and straight-up boggle a congressman.

EMAIL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES

No, not the change.org petition (Yes, I know it's easy. It also gets ignored)

Source: I have been staff for multiple elected officials. Every person that literally calls/emails gets written down and the elected gets updated.

"X people called today to support Y; Z called to oppose it"

Those online petitions, etc? They don't always include names or, somehow worse, they include every person who's signed it. And, let's get real, elected representatives only care (to the amount that they do) about the people who elect them. Not the rest of the country.

So a 35+ list of names is useless if it's not in the district.

Find your mayor, city/town council member, county legislature, state senator and/or representative, federal congressperson & Senator's office/local office and just save their number. Call and leave a message before or after work if you don't want to talk to a real person. Or call during the day and say "I'm [name] and live [in the district/zip code/address] & am calling to [support/oppose] [issue/bill]. Please let the elected representative know that I [support/oppose] this issue"

That's it! No, they're unlikely to have an answer for you on the spot (you're talking to a staff member, not the official themselves) but it will get to the elected official.

TLDR: Calling/emailing your elected representative MATTERS. And is more impactful than clicking an "I support" or "Add my signature" button.

- Honey is mostly sugar (WoW!) it is 80% sugar and 20% water (double WoW!)

- There are over 20,000 species of bees, but only 4 make HONEY

-Honey is the ONLY food that contains all the substances you need to survive (Including WATER)

-Children under the age of 1 should not eat honey… why? because sometimes it contains bad stuff called botulism and can cause them to get botulism poisoning (that sucks, even infants should taste the deliciousness that is honey)

-Honey will crystallize under optimum temperatures (this has a lot to do with how you store it)

-Bees produce honey to eat during the winter when there are no flowers and no nectar for them.

-A honeybee would only need an ounce of honey to be able to fuel a flight around the world (this makes for a very cultural bee!)

After Gandalf’s death, Aragorn is forced to lead the Fellowship.

And under his leadership the Fellowship is shattered, Merry and Pippin are captured, and Boromir is killed.

This is exactly what Aragorn has been afraid of since the beginning of the film– that he would be trusted with leadership and he would fail, he wouldn’t be enough, and wouldn’t be able to protect the people who relied on him.  This is why he was so afraid to accept his kingship. Everything that happens at the breaking of the fellowship is like the realization of Aragorn’s worst nightmare.

But then the person he couldn’t save tells him “I would’ve followed you my brother, my captain, my king.” 

It is not cowardly to stay in the closet. Full stop. You do not owe anyone any part of yourself you aren't ready to share

If you unable to come out because you fear for your safety or well-being or because you know it will cause you substantial discomfort, that is not a defect in you. It's a failure of the society in which you live and the community surrounding you.

Sometimes you have to try it on before you know if it’ll fit.

And if you find that it’s not right for you after all, that’s ok.
