There will always be something more to discover about living a nonbinary life.
There's no finish line that, once you cross it, you'll have yourself completely figured out.
All aspects of you will change and mature with time. The way in which you're nonbinary will change, too.
In case you need the reminder, just surviving is enough.
You shouldn't have to prove that you have some external meaning or value to deserve life. You shouldn't have to earn your right to live.
Just being alive is plenty for the rest of us, yes. But your life is also important because it's yours.
Remember that you can change your mind anytime about how (or if) you're nonbinary.
Labels rarely capture all of a person. It's normal to try on a few as you figure out what combination works best.
Nothing is permanent. If you have to come out multiple times, then do so. I did!
You'll be fine.
Stay strong if you find that you're the only nonbinary person in the room. You (probably) didn't ask for it, but you're clearly needed there.
Your presence is powerful and will have a good influence long after you've left the space.
Keep existing bravely.

It's okay to be scared about your future as a nonbinary person.
You don't need to be fearless or even especially brave. All you need is to accept just enough uncertainty to experiment.
You'll find your way.
Being nonbinary is complicated, but don't let that stop you from shooting your shot with someone you like.
People can be more flexible and open to new experiences than you may realize (especially since nonbinary people are hot).
You won't know until you try!
Toads
While there are good people in the world, your worries about your own safety as a nonbinary person are real.
You aren't imagining or exaggerating your experiences.
Take precautions and take care of yourself. True friends will come to believe your struggles.
You don't have to shower cis people with appreciation for briefly respecting you as a human being AND a nonbinary person.
Yes, you can be thankful for their rare consideration. Yes, it is a step in the right direction, but it's only one step.
You are treated as less than human most of the time, and it'll take far more than a little gesture to change that.

It's okay to reduce or end contact with people who will not respect that you're nonbinary.
It's not "just" your gender situation that such people choose to disregard. Being nonbinary is a fundamental part of who you are.
You don't owe them your full attention.
You don’t owe it to your family and/or friends to come out to them as nonbinary.
When or if you reveal your true self is up to you, and should be done on your terms.
This is your life and your information, not theirs.
The nonbinary people in history and the present that you look up to will not be perfect. But it's possible to acknowledge their short comings, and still need them as they are.
We need each other as people, not as perfect beings.
Frogs
Bigots spend their limited brain power worrying about the intimate details of entire an population of nonbinary people who don't care.
Meanwhile, you're out there trying (and suceeding) at living the best nonbinary life that you can.
You're the real star of this show.

The strength that you've had to cultivate in yourself to survive as a nonbinary person is invaluable.
It's a strength that reaches beyond you because queer/lgbtq people lean on, heal, and protect each other.
Your pain and your power is not wasted. We share strength.
Most if the existing rules and ways of our societies don't allow for our existence as nonbinary people.
So, bend those rules until they fit or until they break.
Don't wait for permission to exist. We make space for ourselves.
