Seeing what you were doing not just for your people going through a brutal genocide, but also for the people all over the Global South, made me realize I was not doing enough. Because of your bravery, I told myself I needed to step up too. I don't have followers on tumblr, so nobody listens to me online. But I do ask people in real life to donate to Palestinian families. By this point, I believe I've asked at least 85+ people to donate, and have gotten about 60% success rate. I am not even that afraid to ask anymore. It has become my routine. One Palestinian family I came to know personally and love that is listed in the gazavetters spreadsheet now receives about $850 of a steady monthly income because I and a few of my friends have all decided to pool our resources together to support that family. All because you inspired me to keep taking one step more.

At first, I asked 1 person to donate, then 1 more, then 2 more, then I organized a fundraising event when I raised over +$2000 split between 4 families, then I started asking people to donate monthly. You convinced me to stop donating to Democrats. Now I only donate to Palestinian families, to Palestine Action and to Palestinian mutual aid such as The Sameer Project and Gaza Soup Kitchen. All of this happened because of the work you, feluka, and tamarrud put in. I wish you could see the fruits of your labor and the ripples your words and actions have created. Seeing the things you all do made me realize I had no fucking excuse.

Is any of what I do enough? No. Absolutely not. I wish I could more. I wish I could help all people in Palestine. I wish Palestinains didn't need to rely on any of us and could live their lives in dignity and freedom. But I know I must do my part, however small, to stop this genocide.

So thank you for all that you do. For your people, for all oppressed people, for the world.

Instead, the war took everything.

Our home was destroyed. My husband was injured. We lost our safety, our stability, and the life we spent years dreaming about. Every day has become a struggle to find the basics our little daughter needs.

I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to survive.

This post is exactly that same type of response that always made me stop and consider my own feelings about identity.

I've personally never felt more safe in public, I've never felt more safe in my community, or expressing my beliefs or heritage.

And that's in the middle of a fascist take over of America and a "Rise in Antisemitism".

If you see the world turning on Israel, and by extension Jews worldwide who support Israel, are rightfully getting shit on for those beliefs... and you internalize that as THREATS TO YOUR SAFETY... honey then you are identifying with the oppressors.

If you felt threatened as a white person when BLM was happening, you're a racist. If attacks against Israel make you scared, you're probably supporting genocide.

I walk around with my pro-palestine clothes, pins, stickers, etc and get 90% support and striking up positive conversations. 10% hate from local Zionists calling me a Kapo, but I'll take that.

A lot of us were raised with the idea that “its normal for wives/children to get hit! it helps them learn– only white folk don’t get beaten when they misbehave”. That’s not true, white people aren’t the only ones who deserve a safe and abuse free environment. Black and brown people can and do have loving families. 

Hello?, everyone that didn't shut up about the people the Israelis stopped, where the fuck are you? These ones are in genuine danger and you're completely silent.

Remember how I posted about Chilean and Argentinian authorities in Patagonia arresting IDF soldiers who were masking as tourists to start said fires?

Remember when I said that, just a few months before that, Milei had abolished wildlife protection laws and defunded firefighting forces all over the country because this was clearly a coordinated move to burn down Patagonia and sell the land to Israel?

Remember how people called me a nazi antisemite for saying this and called it a conspiracy theory despite all the proof for everyone to see? Despite the testimonies from people who live there who have been denouncing the abuses of these Israeli "tourists" for years? Despite Netanyahu parading around with maps of Patagonia in his meetings?

@arijsobh is a 29-year old single mother of two adorable daughters, Maryam and Talia. The Israeli occupation kidnapped her husband and the father of her children, Adnan, and they have no idea if he is dead or alive.

Now Arij is left to care for them all on her own. They live on the 8th floor of a bombed apartment building with no warmth or heating and a missing wall. Imagine going through the pain of separation from your partner on top of hunger, cold, sickness, and constant bombardment. Right now, Arij's oldest daughter, Talia has been diagnosed with Hepatitis A and she needs our urgent support.

Amal's story:

@amal-ashour-new gave birth to a beautiful girl named Mina about a month ago, but is struggling to take care of her because of the harshness of winter and the lack of food. Her most immediate priority is to rent a house for 3 months so she needs to raise about $4000.
