This is one of my husband’s favorite short stories. He quotes it from memory. I’m pretty sure he can recite the entire thing from memory.
This is a tremendously impactful short story and every time I see it, it serves as an excellent reboot button for my state of mind.

There’s something hilarious about how these mods were made by the same user
Hi - I run the modding community discord so I can offer some insight into this. There’s actually 3 reasons why Scottina made this mod for LE:
1. As the person who removed them originally, he knew best how to add them back in, so he decided since it was going to be inevitably made by someone, it might as well be done properly.
2. All the DP for this mod goes back into the Mass Effect Modding Workshop, which is our shared community account. So every download for this mod actually goes to support the modding community’s efforts - essentially we turned the horny men into a weirdly inadvertent force for good?
3. He (and we in the workshop) thought it would be hilarious if he was the person who both removed them + added them back in. So that the karma effectively cancels itself out.
We also made a decoy mod to troll people (it adds fart noises during the butt shots).
Thank you for the insight. Please send my regards to the modding community and also tell them they are some of the funniest people on Nexus Mods right now

idk anything about this but I love it
If any competition needed to be on Tumblr, it's this one.
At no point did I have the slightest idea what the next event was going to be. This was an absolute delight.
In honor of Star Trek and World Dracula Day, phrases from Dracula as Star Trek episode titles:
The Odyssey but retold as a low-stakes modern adventure of one guy out with his girlfriend leaving the bar with his buddies to do just one (1) simple thing real quick, it'll take like 15 minutes tops, he'll be right back, but then some bullshit happens and the trip keeps getting more complicated as more bullshit keeps happening while he just tries to get back to the bar because he promised his girlfriend that he'd get back and he knows that she's still there because she told him she'd wait there.
And by the time he finally gets back it's almost 3 am and the bar is about to close while she's sitting there stone cold sober, surrounded by 5 drunk guys unsuccessfully trying to convince her to give up on waiting for him and go home with one of them instead. And the guy shows up to proceed to beat the shit out of them before explaining himself to her like hey sorry bullshit kept happening, my phone fell into a storm drain and my wallet got stolen when I was trying to find someone who'd borrow me a phone so I could call and
His girlfriend had been fending off the 5 drunk guys for most of the evening by explaining that even if she was going to ditch her boyfriend, she can't possibly leave without finishing her beer, which she is keeping perpetually full via careful sleight of hand where she's just pouring it back and forth into and out of the pitcher.
However the drunk guys are also drinking, and eventually she can't afford to buy another pitcher for the table so she can't keep up the ever-full beer glass trick. At this point she has to resort to setting up the pool trick shot that she's never seen anyone but her boyfriend pull off, and says she'll leave with whoever manages the shot first.
That buys her another hour or so and then, finally, her boyfriend makes it back. He looks like shit, hair down and just a mess, he's wearing an entirely different jacket that he got from an alley, and barely recognizable—especially to 5 guys who've been drunk for hours now. He lurks for a minute, finds out what's going on, and proceeds to pull off the trick shot first try. Throws the jacket off, fixes his hair with a hair tie his girlfriend lends him, finally looks like himself again, and THEN beats the shit out of them with the pool cue.
yuh i was there, that's how it happened
This is by Alain Bosquet, who has a whole bunch of similar illustrations at his Behance gallery! I was a little suspicious because Alain Bosquet is also the name of a famous poet, but he appears to be a real person employed by a design firm in Belgium.

The Star Trek title card generator is over here:
Make your own era-accurate Star Trek episode title cards in seconds. Boldly go!
The sitemaker (Josh Mayfield at https://bsky.app/profile/bean525.bsky.social) has asked for people to come in and kick its tires so he can work out any bugs they turn up. So do give him a hand, if you feel inclined. :)
(also, deeply amused by this one...)
I don't post about work, largely because retail sucks and is boring, but today... oh my gosh.
So I'm babysitting the customer service phone when a call comes in. "Thank you for calling Store," I say, in full Customer Service voice. "Logicloup speaking, how can I help you today?"
The caller must have been on speaker phone, because I can hear this tiny little voice - couldn't have been more than 5 or maybe 6 years old - say, "Are you a robot?" And y'all, I could hear the 🤩 in this kid's voice, it was adorable.
"Sorry, bud, I am a human person."
"Awww..."
I have never in my life so strongly regretted not being an actual facts robot.
"and the universe said i love you."

"Beleaguered" is a wonderfully expressive word. I am beset by troubles so manifold that they have formed a league. I am playing host to a diplomatic summit of the United Nations of Fuckery, and negotiations are not going well.
I understand that this is probably an Old Man Yells At Cloud opinion at this point, but I feel strongly that if I hold a t-shirt up to a window on a sunny day I should not be able to see through it clearly enough to make out the outlines of the trees across the street.
