The other week I found out he loves irises.

Last week, I wished he could be around to eat the other half of a really good avocado.

But when plans fell through yesterday (due to a breaking leaf spring), or he talked about how poorly he was sleeping when I was there last weekend, I am felled by feelings that we’re careening towards catastrophe.

On one hand it feels irrational. On the other hand I wonder if there might a kernel of truth.

My fucking brain needs to just leave it. And I need to just live my life not afraid it’s all going to fall apart. It did fall apart once already, it wasn’t great but I continued on.
