You know, Crymini, the character that Viv has described as Husk’s surrogate daughter during the pilot era?? There’s really no lows these losers aren’t willing to stoop to deny canon huskerdust lol.

It’s because being a lesbian is not considered a valid identity even within queer spaces. Every part of society is so male centered that the idea of someone not being attracted to men is unthinkable. If you identify as a lesbian people will see you as a) just going through a phase or b) making a political statement because you must hate men. And so Hellaverse antis apply that same bigoted logic to Sera being confirmed a lesbian. Viv would never write a character who isn’t sexually attracted to men since everyone irl is attracted to men, so she must just be trying to fill a diversity quota to appeal to the libs.

The funniest part of this nitpick is that we don’t even know Vox’s age when he died. This is another case of headcanons becoming confused with canon. For all we know Vox died when he was in his early 30s instead of the accepted 40-50 year age range the fandom has landed on. Add that to the infinite tally of Hellaverse antis basing their criticisms on the shit they’ve made up in their mind lol.

adam stans also act like eve being given free will is Objectively Bad and want her to hate lucifer and lilith for it, which almost comes off as "women don't deserve free will" considering how much they glaze a canon misogynist

anyways out of pure spite i hope viv makes eve everything that adam stans would HATE her to be: a good person/hero, a good parent (certainly better than adam), someone who hates/fears adam (lbfr he most likely abused her) and is on good terms with the morningstars and ESPECIALLY besties with lucifer bc adam and his stans fucking hate him :)

Adam stans have the biggest madonna/whore complex with Eve and it’s truly baffling to see it develop over time in the Hazbin fandom. I’m on your side anon, I hate how they’ve essentially made two misogynistic OCs and they change them out when they either need an evil bitch villain to woobify poor Adam even more or a perfectly pure housewife yes man who hangs off of Adam’s every word. Women are never allowed to be people around Adam according to his fans, they’re either obstacles in his way or another potential addition to his harem.

This type of “critique” is always a self report because there’s arguably very little sexualization of the female characters in the shows themselves. Verosika and Cherri are the only female characters in the Hellaverse that I would consider sexualized in either show, and for Cherri hers only counts because her design shows some cleavage. These people think the women are overly sexualized because they exclusively interact with the show via gooner fanart of Loona and thus think the show must reflect the art they consume.

He’s constantly disparaged for his age and even has his sexuality called into question because he flirted with the female background characters during Love In A Bottle. Radiodusters would rather straight up lie about Husk and paint him in the worst light possible to build up their crack ship instead of acknowledging that he’s canonically the best fit for Angel and the one that will most likely help free him from his abuse.

I usually don’t discuss people by name on this blog unless they’ve actively participated in harassment that needs to be called out, but I’m making an exception here because the user you’re talking about has gone full mask off and is currently making posts about how Stella couldn’t have abused Stolas while using radfem rhetoric as justification for their opinion.

Lin loves to use the “well due to ~societal systems~ we can’t consider Stella abusive towards Stolas!” excuse when it literally doesn’t apply here. It’s baseless intellectualizing that ignores basic facts about what we see happen in the show. Stella tried to hit Stolas. She attempted to backhand him across the face in a manner that the show all but states she has done multiple times in the past. I don’t care how much you bring up misogyny or patriarchy or whatever the fuck, hitting your partner is abusive. Full stop. If Stella were a man and Stolas was a woman they wouldn’t be fucking saying this, but because Lin is a diet radfem who thinks that women can’t be abusive unless we exist in a misogyny-free society they’ll continue to peddle this harmful bullshit.

On the topic of harmful bullshit, how about some good old fashioned victim blaming!

So, I’m gonna tell you guys a story. My aunt was in a relationship with a man for about four years. He was a huge fucking bum. He lost his job six months into their relationship and had zero savings to fall back on. He moved into my aunt’s apartment and never got a new job while he was living with her. She went to work, paid all the bills, had everything in her name, etc etc. You could argue that she held all the financial power in their relationship.

He was an abusive monster towards her. He isolated her, verbally berated her, and once beat her so bad he fractured three of her ribs. Her final straw was when he held her captive in her own apartment at gunpoint for a full day because he thought she was cheating on him. When she deescalated the situation and finally got the police and our family involved he went fucking nuclear and tried to destroy her goddamn life. It’s been years since any of us have seen him but the emotional scars run fucking deep.

According to Lin, my aunt should have just kicked him out! I mean, she owned everything. The apartment, the car, the furniture, her savings, all of it. If she kicked him out he would have been homeless. He had zero access to anything she owned. They didn’t even had a child together. If she wanted to she could have left at any time!!!!

This is victim blaming rhetoric. Abusive relationships are complex and difficult to understand. It’s not just about “emotional/financial power”, that’s only one fucking topping on a shit cake. I don’t know why my aunt stayed so long with that monster and it’s not my fucking business to know. It’s my job to support victims of abuse when they decide to flee their abusers. Questioning them and trying to argue that they could leave whenever they wanted only furthers to shame abuse victims and make them less likely to leave their abusive partners.

This is the endpoint of radfem ideologies. Stolas isn’t real and nothing you say about him can hurt him, but there are real people right now getting abused. Maybe they’re men getting abused by a woman, maybe they’re women with the financial or societal upper hand in their relationship getting abused by a man, maybe they’re in an abusive relationship and see themselves as equal to their partner. It doesn’t matter, because people like Lin will write this fucking bile and convince those people that they’re not being abused. Or that their abuse isn’t as bad as victims in other situations. Or that they’re bad victims because they can “leave at any time” but are still with their abusers.

Yeah you make a good point anon, fans in general tend to ignore the emotional and physical abuse Angel goes through because in their mind it ranks lower on the Abuse Tier List they’ve made up in their mind. It’s why Vox’s physically assault of Angel in season two is extremely under-discussed in the fandom. In a lot of people’s worldview once you’re sexually assaulted that’s the only thing that can define you, not even the other abuse you potentially suffered.
