I was talking to my 16 year old son and at the end end of the conversation he asked me if I wanted to watch a movie with him. I said maybe next time and he immediately had a flash of disappointment on his face. So I said on second thought I’d love to watch a movie with him. Two of my other kids joined us. It was a nice time (even if the movie wasn’t necessarily up my alley).

Moral of the story is if your teenagers want to spend time with you don’t turn them down unless you have to. Not every parent is lucky enough to have that…
