when i was at walgreens (at 3 in the morning which explains all of this) the cashier was talking to her coworker about how shed rather be a werewolf than a vampire because vampires are condemned to hell but werewolves arent and then she asked me what i thought and i said vampire because im already condemned to hell and she said in the nicest tone of voice “i dont think anybody is condemned to hell….” paused, stared at me for a few moments, and added on “…not even gay people”

We NEED to acknowledge the junkyard scene from TFP S3 more. We NEED to acknowledge that Raf basically talked Ratchet out of the closest thing to a non-sacrifice suicide that can be put in a show aimed primarily at children. I brought this up to one of my pals and he said "I don't even think the show itself realises the gravity of that moment there".
I think we need to acknowledge that more. I don't think we really got the full enough scope of just how much humanity, and probably Raf in particular means to Ratchet. I think we need to remember that scene and let it sink in for a good while. I'm basically marinating my brain in that scene.
D'you think Ratchet thinks about how he owes his continued life, every happy moment he's had since, to this kid who cared to form some kind of bond with him from the very start, despite how much he hated him at first? D'you think Ratchet ever remembers the encouraging things that Raf has told him when things get tough?? D'you think whenever Raf has a bad day, Ratchet picks him up in his big metal hands and holds him close and lets him cry as much as he wants because Primus knows the kid was there for him at his absolute worst??? D'you think they and Bumblebee all sit together in wordless understanding of how important they all are to each other????
