I was the fun Auntie when they were little but now that one of my nieces is home for summer, and she has a friend with a boat she’s posting pics jumping into Lake Michigan with the beautiful city behind her on her Instagram. I am sure I will soon be blocked because I’m all “There better be life jackets on that boat!” and giving her the news updates about the girl who literally lost her legs in a boat accident in the playpen last year, 2 people drown last weekend in the lake and one dude lost his actual foot. I’m now Safety First Auntie. Not as much fun but you can call me if you’re in trouble no judgement! Just safety!
