It has been approximately 7 years since I drew a lick of fanart and it shows…. Tattoo artist art is much different than art for fun. I’m super rusty. But the leaks have fucked me up. They awoke a dormant beast in me.

I’ve never drawn Aang or Katara before. I think it shows lol. But that just means I have to draw them more.

Literally no one in the friend group aside from Aang knows Zuko was the Blue Spirit

So do you think... they're just hanging out in the palace post canon all piled up in one of the rooms reserved for when the royal family wants to chill—and Zuko is voicing his (extremely reasonable) upset about his father for one reason or another

And Sokka just says something like, "So are you gonna just leave him to rot in jail for the rest of his life, or are you gonna give him another punishment?"

And Zuko goes quiet. Thinking. Then he says, "Maybe I should send him on a quest to capture the Blue Spirit to regain his honor"

Visually, the sandbenders and their architecture are loosely inspired by Tuareg peoples and other North Africans. North Africans are often used as the template for desert nomad characters in English-language fiction.

However, the sandbenders' names are actually Mongolian in origin, as they're named after parts of the Gobi Desert. The young man who muzzled Appa is named Ghashiun and one of the sandbender tribes is called Hami. The Gobi Desert is home to many nomadic Mongolian families.

What I mean by that is that as a result, the Avatar is never under pressure to have children due to that status. They can be gay, ace, or just otherwise not have biological children, and it wouldn’t matter because the Avatar Cycle will continue anyways. And their children don’t inherit any of their Avatar-ness either, they’re just normal Benders. So the Avatar is free to love whoever they want and have children entirely by choice

Because it was gonna work. If Katara didn't step out from behind the pillar, Zuko would've redirected it and won. He was already winning, given Azula's mental state, the lightning was just to minimise the chance of a comeback and fully confirm his victory.

He just didn't think that she'd throw the Agni Kai away. It was a psychological move, and the best one if it was literally any other scenario, but the whole point of the Agni Kai was so that Katara wouldn't be hurt in the first place. Killing her and giving up being firelord would've been a pyrrhic victory, but Azula was in a state where the politics of the fight didn't matter. She just wanted Zuko to hurt
