The inner workings of my mind

Summary:

Since the beginning of time, Agni had not joined his fellow Spirits. He stayed up in the Sky, called the material world his home, and wanted no part of his brethren’s Realm.

Since the birth of the Avatar, Agni recognized no bond with them. He had a chosen, the ruler of his people was his own bridge to the mortal world, and the Avatar could thus speak for all Spirits except for one.

Since the beginning of the war, Agni was cursed by his fellow spirits as a traitor to his kin whilst his people trampled the world. And Agni raged and seethed at his people, at the Fire Lord who had turned away from him whilst still claiming to speak for him.

For the past three years, Zuko has just wanted his father and the Sun’s forgiveness. He does not yet know those are not the same.

Message received, advice as follows:

The facial flesh of a fourteen-year-old Zuko contains roughly the same percentages of sunshine, smiles, and righteous indignation as thirteen-year-old Zuko. Conclusion: prime material for parental scarring.

Since I am a pragmatic Hotman that knows when to cut my loses, I might add that when 14 year old Zuko is before his father, there would probably be more proud and hopeful smiles, and less terrified tears.

Now accepting suggestions for seeing eye something-somethings.

I kind of like “mantis-something” off the bat, mantises are so delightfully fill of murder–SEEING EYE MANTIS-SHRIMP-(SOMETHING), IT WOULD BE SO PRETTY!

And he would… never see how pretty it is. And it would take Uncle an awkwardly long time to realize he shouldn’t be rubbing the “she’s so pretty nephew” into Zuko’s face.

No, Zuko, there are sharp edges everywhere. They threw spikes at me and snapped at me with mandibles that should not be as big as they are. There are spikes on the mandible, Zuko. Right next to the nose.

“Viscious slander”, says Zuko. “Wasabi is soft and gentle and doesn’t sting anybody”.

“Oh yeah? Then why did you name it Wasabi, Zuko?!???”

“Because they are from the earth kingdom? So they like green? Why else?”

For the air kingdom pet: Floating Walrus. Unlike they’re sister species the Flying Bisons, Floating Walrus have never been domesticated for any practical use as they are natural inclined to merely float as the breeze guides them, aided by their ability to puff up with more air as they will. They were a frequent subject for mediation and philosophy. 

On a more serious note, I like the idea of the boat being an old ship passed on for several generations in the war (because building a new boat is difficult when you are constantly on alert for Fire Nation raids, so old ships go a long way).

 Therefore, the ship is named after the wife of the tribal chief who first fought in the war and had that ship built - The Nanouk for example. (Or the Kallik, the Natiq etc.)

So many body segments. So many legs going click-click-click. Such a waggy-tailed good boy when it is not chitter-growling at intruders from between its mandibles.

Zuko was not informed, instructions on handling ennemy pet unclear, has named the Isopuppy "Seal jerkey", because Uncle would insist on beinh culturally sensitive so he ll name it after primitive water savage food and Uncle will eat his tea pot at how sensitive Zuko is being.
