初めてケーキを作ったにしては、上手にできましたね。 はじめてケーキをつくったにしては、じょうずにできましたね。 You did a good job with the cake considering it was your first time.

彼は勉強しなかったにしては、いい点が取れた。 かれはべんきょうしなかったにしては、いいてんがとれた。 For someone who didn't do their homework, he still managed to get a decent score.
