being a queer german person and seeing the news fail to verbalise that the CSD attack in berlin was motivated by homophobia feels really crazy. i don't give a fuck where this person is from, the person who did this was homophobic and wanted us dead, and that is what we should be talking about. extremism has become far too normalised in this country and beyond. for one fucking second, talk about how normalised homophobia and is, talk about what a sad day it is for queer folks, about how we deserve to feel safe and that homophobia has no place in this country. can you actually care about us for once. stop using us to fuel your islamophobia or hatred of immigrants.

One of my favorite things about JFO is how Cal relearns/remembers his Jedi training through nature and ancient Force wielders who weren’t Jedi. We are constantly told how the Force flows through everything in other Star Wars media, but this game really shows that. Cal learns how to Wall Run again after watching the lizard-like zaur scuttle across the walls on Bogano. Even though the Zeffo had different ideas about the Force than the Jedi and even called it something different, “the Life Wind,” Cal learns how to Force Push and Pull again by exploring ancient Zeffo tombs and using the wind and magnetic fields as they once did. Cal learns how to Jedi Flip again while climbing the Origin Tree using Kashyyyk’s bouncy lung plants. He heals his personal connection with the Force by connecting with everything the Force flows through outside of himself, from the past to the present, indiscriminate of culture, and it’s so beautiful.

i think it is very depressing that like every aesthetic people try to emulate are of people doing things but they themselves are incapable of being somebody that does things… the mall goth 2005 aesthetic revived in 2022 but nobody goes to the mall to be annoying and weird and nobody lets themselves be cringe… the cottagecore aesthetic but nobody knows how to raise gardens or live self sufficiently … the dark academia aesthetic but nobody actually reads books….
