INCREDIBLY CONCERNING SPIKE IN ANTI-BLACKNESS IS HAPPENING RN.
Some of yall may have heard some of the shit that has been going on right now. I'm gonna give a quick run down of some of the stuff that has been happening. Note, this is not all, and it may never be all as much as I will try to update this.
(I am going to try and compile and briefly explain these as much as I can. There may be misinformation. Please inform me if I got something wrong.)
(This will also be updated with additional information and new topics added.)
1) Racist Chinese Dolls.
There are these dolls in China that are being called "Natasha" baby dolls. These dolls are not only very obvious caricatures of black people, but they are being advertised as a "stress relief" in which the people who buy these abuse it in various ways.
This links to a video of a compilation of the various "uses" of the doll. There are more in the replies of the tweet. (Another link to the same tweet just incase)
2) The Mocking, Abuse, and Dehumanization of Black Children.
Apart from the aforementioned doll, there are apparently people going around mocking, abusing, and dehumanizing black children.
Some people have compared black children to the doll.
Others have been going into African countries and have found ways to mock, abuse, and dehumanize black children for clout.
(Source 1 + Full Video) (Source 2)
There are more videos surfacing.
3) Black people are going missing.
Black people, especially children and teens have recently been going missing at an alarming rate. Some of these same people are turning up dead, deaths being ruled as "suicides."
While it generally unknown why many of these people are going missing, many suspect that their disappearances, deaths, and even lack of coverage is rooted in anti-blackness.
The following is a list of black people that have been reported missing as of recently. Please note that this is not a complete list (it may never be completed due to the fact that many of these disappearances will still occur as time passes) this may contain inaccurate information. Please inform me if that is the case.
By the time you see this, some of these people may have already been found either alive or deceased. This post will be updated overtime.
It is also heavily encouraged that you reblog this with more links to recent cases of missing black people if you are aware of any that arenât included on this list.

Richonne Fanfiction Rec #1:LaMorenaReina
Before I begin, a quick PSA: There will be minor spoilers, major feelings, and language that is absolutely NSFW. Proceed accordingly.
I chose @lamorenareina to kick off this rec series because her stories were the first Richonne fics I devoured back in the of fall 2025 after my summer rewatch binge of TWD and TOWL. The timing was divine. The very moment I decided to prowl the internet to feed my Richonne withdrawal (letâs keep it realâaddiction), she had just updated several works on AO3.
As I waded through AO3âs chaotic âRick Grimes x Michonneâ tag (seriously, what is that filter even doing), one author name jumped out at me:
La. Morena. Reina.
A Spanish username meaning âBlack Queenâ? Oh, I knew I was in the right damn place. I was expecting Richonne love and Michonne love and she delivered both in abundance.
This author spoiled me rotten and set a bar so high that every fic I read afterward had to limbo under it. Her writing is just that damn good.
Iâm the kind of psycho who must read an authorâs works chronologicallyâI know. Is it Autism? OCD? Both? Who knows. Who cares. Itâs my process.
So I started with her earliest Richonne offerings:
âThis New Thingâ A smutty oneâshot. Delicious. But I was craving something longer, something I could sink my teeth into.
âUntitled x Rocketsâ Another short, spicy morsel that absolutely lived up to its name. Letâs just say I may or may not have instigated an incident with my husband after reading it several times. AnywayâŚ
Both pieces were scrumptious amuseâbouches, but I was still feeling a main course not an entrĂŠe.
âAnd If I Cry Againâ, the fic that ruined me.
Where do I even start.
This story is three chapters of lush, poetic, emotionally surgical, profoundly intimate writing that had me in tears. Actual tears. The ugly kind.
Itâs a slow, aching meditation on grief, love, and the quiet, devastating ways Rick and Michonne hold each other together after Carlâs death.
As I read and reâread, I could feel how much this author loves these characters. The prose lingers on gestures, textures, breath, silenceâitâs not plotâdriven; itâs emotionâdriven.
And itâs
SO.
DAMN.
GOOD.
Read it. Immediately. NOW!
This woman wrecked me. I mean WRECKED. It took divine intervention to pull me out of the Richonne stupor she put me in. And then she had the audacityâthe unmitigated gallâto destroy me again with the next one.
Let me gather myself.
âBecause Iâm Okay Tooâ, la hermana (sister) story.
I consider BIOT the sister to IICA. Same author, same emotional intelligence, same devotion to Rick and Michonne, but doing different narrative work.
IICA is a lyrical, intimate novel about two people learning to breathe again after losing their son. BIOT is a rich, expanded, emotionally intelligent retelling of TWD canon; filling in gaps, deepening motivations, and tracing the slow, inevitable gravitational pull between Rick and Michonne.
And yes, itâs unfinished.
And yes, I screamed.
And yes, I am still screaming.
FUCK!
âA Rare Samenessâ, the prestige blockbuster.
Shiiiiit.
If IICA and BIOT are emotional ballads, âA Rare Samenessâ is the prestige summer blockbuster akin to Michael âMy Movies Go Boomâ Bey; however, much more elevated, atmospheric, gritty, and characterâdriven. Plus, Richonne.
This fic introduces Rick and Michonne at the Atlanta camp, giving us a deeper, more emotionally loaded foundation for their compatibility than the show ever did. Itâs cinematic, immersive, sensoryârich (which I ate up like a plate of mofongo) and it was the spark that ignited my obsession with all things preâseason 3 Richonne re-imaginings.
Like BIOT, itâs an ensemble piece. But ARS goes furtherâit gives Rick and Michonne a depth and dimensionality that makes even the best written episodes of the show (and certainly the comics) feel⌠well⌠mediocre.
Apart from TOWL Episode 4, of course. Looks sheepishly at Queen Danai.
âA Cowboy, Sheriff, and Lawyer Walk Into A Barâ, the canon divergent wild card.
This one is quite the departure; adult in theme, canonâdivergent, and as the title suggests, a Richonne + 1 situation. Itâs not my personal favorite only because I am a Richonne monogamy purist, but if this flavor of romp is your jam, itâs a whole dish.
Final Thoughts (and a Plea)
If you havenât read this authorâs Richonne works, fix that immediately. And while I encourage you to shower her with love, please be gentleâsheâs a doctoral student and deserves peace, hydration, and a full 10 hours of sleep.
@lamorenareina, wherever you are, I wish you success, blessings, and health. Your storiesâestĂĄ cabrĂłn. Truly. Thank you for sharing your talent with us while juggling life and a PhD. I am humbled.
And now, allow me one moment of childish petulance:
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UPDATE âA Rare Samenessâ AND âBecause Iâm Okay Tooâ SOON stomps foot, I WANT MORE of your "Horny Fandom Shit and Writing" flops dramatically onto fainting couch
DAMN IT. I almost posted this before midnight. >_<
Passes out.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees are taking their own lives at a pace thatâs unprecedented in the agencyâs two-decade history,
Brayan Rayo Garzon was distraught. Detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he was on his fourth day of isolation in a Missouri jail as he battled the fevers and chills of COVID-19.
His request for mental health treatment had been put off, records show, and staff had forbidden Rayo from making his nightly call to his mother as a precaution intended to prevent the spread of illness.
He pleaded with his jailers in handwritten notes to arrange a conversation with her. âI feel in my heart that sheâs very worried about me,â he wrote in Spanish.
A guard collected the note and walked away. Within an hour, jail records show, he was found unconscious in his cell. An autopsy determined he killed himself.

Community members face retaliation for trying to spread the word out, a lawsuit alleges.
Ice operations have moved to harassing folk in Memphis
From the article:
The case in Memphis also challenges Tennesseeâs Halo Law, which criminalizes anyone who gets within 25 feet of an officer after theyâve been warned to step away. Task force agents are invoking the law against observers who are not interfering, and sometimes forcing them back even farther than required so they can no longer see or hear. âIt unconstitutionally burdens peopleâs ability to engage in gathering information and recording what task force agents are doing,â ACLU attorney Scarlet Kim told me. [...]
The surge has not gotten much national attention in part because Tennesseeâs Republican governor supports itâhe has said it will continue indefinitely. And the Trump administration has framed it not as an immigration crackdown, which would get a lot of press coverage, but as a crime crackdown. (Task force officers from other agencies are arresting people primarily for traffic violations and crimes, but they call DHS officers when they encounter immigrants.)
Demster also believes Memphis has yet to grab the nationâs attention because people like him who want to get the word out are facing retaliation. Itâs all part of the task forceâs plan âto operate in the shadows,â he says.
