Unwritten

I find it funny to what the world has come to. Every little personal choice that is made by people is used to discriminate and create differences. Specially in India, the politicians will use anything and everything to get your vote! Religion would be topping the list there! Religion is something so personal, I don't think people should even discuss it. It is the path you use to find god and get closer to yourself. Your soul chooses to be born in a certain religion to learn a certain lessons. It is okay to want to convert and try out other ways, it is supposed to lead you back to yourself. It really has nothing to do with the people around you. 

Tomorrow they will come up to you and say hey, you use Colgate to brush your teeth vote for us, we will kill you if you use Close Up. Like it is really up to me to choose what I want to use to clean my teeth, or my soul!

The last time I spoke about the the 7 levels of existence and the mind.

Since then, so much has happened which got me closer to my self. All that that made me realise that this is where I wanted to be, I have reached the stage where I am happy with myself and everything else just nothing but an addition. 

I sat down and went through my entire life and got the the process of how I got there.

It is said, that the purest souls go though a lot pain. Why? Because pain breaks the ego. Human soul suffering is not a sign of god's anger with mankind, it is man's ignorance to the divine law.  What is Ego? It is the resister. It will separate you from everything and everyone around you and even from yourself. Blame is the result of ego. You will notice that when you are irritated with yourself, everyone around you will irritate you. But, we will never look into ourselves, the ego won't let us. It will BLAME everyone else around you. It will prevent you from introspecting, learning and growing. Blame is also a funny thing, if you blame someone you take away their bad karma, if someone blames you, they take away your bad karma (so you should totally be thrilled about being blamed), if you blame yourself, well that is the worst, you end up adding a ton of bad karma to yourself. Coming back to the ego, once the ego is shattered, it leads us to universal love and compassion. Pain and suffering are the only ways to break this shell of ego. This is why Buddha and Christ went through so much suffering in life. Reaching here is what is called enlightenment. Love and compassion are the secret ingredient of ether (the fifth element, also known as the universe and popularly as God).

There are seven levels to our existence:

1. Body 2. Breath 3. Mind 4. Intellect 5. Memory 6. Ego 7. Soul

In school we are taught a lot about the body, nothing about the mind.

The mind is conditioned to think a certain way since we were children. It keeps fluctuating between the past and the future. The memory, it only stores the bad memories. The intellect, it will only question and doubt the positive and pushes everything good away. That is how we attract murphy's law to our lives (Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong).

But, this is not difficult to change. It is just a matter of being aware of your thoughts and being in the present.  Awareness of thought can be brought about the conversations we have with ourselves, It’s the conversations that define our experiences. It’s what we decide to say about a certain person or object that would make the experience pleasant or unpleasant. Even if it’s about a rubber band. This should be a very important part of introspection.  Anything unpleasant through this process can easily be dropped. 

Being in the present in by far one of the most difficult tasks for the human mind. It is a combination of breathing, knowledge and meditation. The breath is the only truth that is in the present moment, focusing on it is what gets us centred.  Knowledge about how to use the past and future smartly. Being in the past will only make you sad and full of regrets, being in the future will only lead to anxiety. So how do we balance? It's not so difficult. It is just like driving a car. Our past is the rear view mirror, only look back for lessons. Our future is like the side view mirror, just set your goals. Then look forward through the windshield into the present one step at a time. Meditation, this helps us replace all the brain cells that have been cut through the negativity and that store all me bad memories keeping the good ones fresh. This also helps you change your perspective in many ways.

So, in my previous blog post, I spoke about how things have magically started happening in my life which are making me really. Since I can't contain my happiness I have decided to share with everyone I can. Because why not spread the joy?

SO! It all started when with me getting featured in an online magazine 2 days ago. I was surprised, I never expected it because well I didn't really believe in myself!

I decided to use this boost of confidence and apply it in every other thing I had been doing.

I ended up waking at 5 today, for no reason at all, so I sat and I read after which I went for my first Ananda Yoga class. It was such a beautiful experience, I have attended many yoga classes but this was something different. You are focusing inward and outward at the same time! I think I would one day want to teach this too!

Side by side I was working with a friend on rearranging a song for my assignment I got at music school. Three days of hard work and we showed it to our teacher. His first reaction was, " who did this? This is really good." We smiles on our faces we said 'US"! He replied, " I didn't expect this from you, this is really good. I will play this with you on my bass, we will work on it". I couldn't have been happier, he is someone I have really looked up to and this coming from him was a feeling I couldn't express in words!

Soon after I got home and got a call from my home girl, he had asked me to write a school song for their client. I was so skeptical since I had never done anything like this before. So I wrote something and sent it to her. It was apparently the best out of what had been sent. I still cannot believe it! Now the next challenge would be composing it! EEEE!

In other news, my car which I had crashed on NYE is back, as good as new! My home girl has the best day too. She had a wonderful meeting, her car will get delivered on monday, her sister booked a house and her boyfriend booked an event!

Two books that have helped me change the way I look at life are the magic and autobiography of a yogi. Magic got me closer to myself. It took me inward. On the other hand, autobiography of a yogi expanded me inward and outward.

Since I’ve started reading this book, things have started working out for me on their own. My thoughts and emotions both are in incredible control. If I feel negative or upset it goes away in 5 mins. It’s a blessing this book. It’s answered so many questions about my life. It’s helped me work towards my goals in the best way and I’ve set some new goals in my life.

The calmness shows on my face with a slight glow. The balance can be seen through the eyes: those telltale windows of the mind.

It’s a new journey I hope for this calm and balanced feeling to always stay and I really do hope that it spreads to other people too.

December has begun, it is time to work on new goals now. Every month I pick a few goals for myself. They include working on my work and on me as a person.

Last two months I worked on finding my voice and not faking it while singing. It is getting there, I am glad to see that all the hard work and slogging isn't going to waste. I also worked on not being socially awkward, that I have managed to do quite well!

This month I want to work on rediscovery. I want to rediscover my photography, I want to rediscover how I react to situations and why. I don't believe in myself, I have zero confidence in me. At times, I HATE me. Which is why, I am stuck and stagnated in everything I do in life. This is going to be my main area of focus this month. Then I think I should get back to stitching, it's been a while.
