Sorry the quality is so bad - it was SO windy and rainy (muted the sound). But hubs and I spent hours late last night sitting out by the water during a huge storm with gale winds, lightening, and 6-7ft waves. This is one of the reasons we love living here so much. The water has such a soothing and calming effect. Despite the tumultuous storm and the angry water crashing over the piers, there is a grounding feeling being near the water during mother nature’s rage. Mentally, this was such a needed feeling for me. I spent a lot of time while we were watching the storm under blankets out of the back of our car thinking about the insignificance of so many aspects of life once you see what nature can do. I think that’s part of what I love so much about being by the water - watching when a storm rages through the water it’s very humbling and grounding. We are so little in comparison to nature’s impact. The water demands respect, though so many fail to give it just that. It makes you see how anything going on in your life, while valid, is so insignificant compared to what rages on around us despite our protests or despite our ignorance. Anyway - those were my late night lake thoughts. 😉🖤 (at North Shore Fishermen's Peir) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE1uUc1jAsg/?igshid=5qkq40l3sux5
