Did Clomid turn you into a walking balloon? You’re not crazy it’s inflammation.
Here is why that little pill makes you feel so puffy and sore:
The "Clomid Belly": Your ovaries swell as they work overtime, causing major pelvic bloating.
The Aches: Blocking estrogen (your body’s natural anti-inflammatory) triggers joint pain and headaches.
PCOS/Endo Flare-ups: If you already have these, Clomid can add fuel to the fire.
🌱 How to survive the cycle:
💧 Hydrate like crazy.
🥑 Eat anti-inflammatory foods (berries, omega-3s).
🧘♀️ Keep movement gentle (stick to slow walks).
🤍 Rest—your body is doing heavy lifting!
💬 Did you experience the Clomid bloat? Let’s swap survival tips below! 👇

I started a new med, and while normally I don’t really get drug side effects when starting them, or at least not enough to be noticeable, this one is kicking my ass
now this debate is between me and the person who has the cowlick and wants to call it a calic.
They send me an AI overview that says "A "calic," commonly known as a cowlick, ...."
And so I point out, "Strange, we get different AI overviews." Because I am not finding calic to do with anything anywhere. Is this even a word?? I don't want to call them out rudely, so I stick with this.
They say, this is a direct quote now, "It changes based on our browsing history in all sorts of weird ways. It’s been like that since before it was called “ai”. The reason so much health misinformation exists is because Google will present unofficial and not properly researched websites as top results as long as it fits the confirmation bias. And because most people are not educated in how to spot fake sources they just believe whatever comes up first. Obviously the difference between calic and cowlick is in no way as serious lol just something I deal with often working with medications"
And now I have more fucking questions. So you acknowledge the AI overview is bullshit but still use screenshots of it to try and prove a point even though you have acknowledged that it is curated to bias? And due to wording I might assume you know how to find decent sources, as an "educated" person and not as the people you are speaking of??.... and we are still having a debate about calic vs cowlick???..... And you work with medications?!?!?!?
Girl, get a different job this is not your field nor your depth of logic.
whats a totally outta left field meds interaction youve had. I'll go first:
i have terrible eczema and allergies, so i used to take benadryl just to sleep without itching to death. it was. not that effective, but literally my only relief at the time so i had to use it regularly. took me from a 7/10 in pain down to maybe a 5/10 at top performance.
well theyve done some studies, and benadryl used once or twice a month? nbd. every day? it can nuke your memory and put you at risk of dementia. so it's suppressing the histamine response yes but somehow the way it does it seems to be incredibly harsh on your brainmeats. this is important. hang onto that tidbit.
a little later, i figured out that a low dose of thc/cbd at bed time would knock me out and keep me out. had fabulous pain relief for my burning skin, let my body destress enough to sleep. used solo it took me from 7/10 to a 3/10 on a good day. i started throwing that into my rotation too, then, as well as some recreational weed usage bc it's fun and i'm an adult. i would alternate what i used each night just on a use-case basis. and then i said hey if we try em together maybe we can get all the way back down to 2/10. maybe even 1/10!
well these were. NOT friendly with each other. i woke up the next few mornings and my brain was FRIED. i could not hold on to any short term memory. I'd go to the bathroom, wash my hands, and stand there wondering if i washed my hands; digits still wet. i had trouble following a mundane conversation. i forgot if i had eaten or drinkened. i could not remember if i was wearing fucking underwear. it was BAD. i asked my wife to drive me bc i was terrified i would forget which pedal did what or where i was going; and while she was driving me home i had no clue what we were doing. it's a five minute drive. bad!!!
i said this shit is not sustainable. i'm gonna start discontinuing shit until i get to the bottom of this. cut out benadryl first. kept the weed. weed had been helping much more with the pain, so she could stay. IMMEDIATE turn around. i was right back to my normal sharpness. i had no idea those would do that.
moral of the story please stay so fuckin safe. even boring otc stuff can make you miserable outta nowhere if they meet a chemical they should, in theory, work beautifully in tandem with. i thought I'd be able to reduce the reaction w benadryl, and then minimize the pain and psychological distress that worsened the itch>scratch cycle with the weed. i thought i was about to make a combination that would save me. nope! have fun forgetting what youre cooking while standing at the hot pan!
im rambling. anyways pls feel free to share i wanna hear yr anecdotes and platform em so others can be safer too.
With the UK set to have a ridiculous heatwave the next week, with Amber and Red health warnings, keep an eye out for the signs of heatstroke in those around you. If in doubt, call 999.
Also be aware of the medications that reduce heat tolerance - if you have started taking any of these since last summer you may find that you struggle more this time around.
Keep your electrolytes balanced - it’s more than just water and avoid unnecessary activity during the middle of the day - The Spanish have siestas for a reason!

Just back from picking up my eye drop prescriptions from the local pharmacy. Since it's my first time with either of them the pharmacist had to give me the whole talk about how to handle them, expiry dates, and side effects.
One of the side effects of the one I need to use one drop of before bed is it can give you thicker, longer lashes.
...
...
...
Yes, I am still laughing about that one.
Apparently it can also sometimes change your eye colour slightly, which is interesting, but not as hilarious as being warned about the potential of eye lash lusciousness.
