It’s Richard II by Shakespeare!!! Richard is commonly queercoded by actors and directors and has some of the most beautiful speeches in all of Shakespeare (“For God’s sake, let us sit upon the ground / And tell sad stories of the death of kings”) Everyone seems to agree that Richard is pretty queer, though I’ve never seen a production so bold as to have a smooch. I highly recommend the Hollow Crown version starring Ben Wishaw - in all his willowy glory - as Richard.
