🌱Hello hello and welcome! My name is Faith, she/they 24. and this is my blog where I share my love for Sindri from GOW. I’m a nonsharing selfshipper and will politely block doubles for comfort. That and ocs who are with Sindri romantically. I block pretty freely just to curate my own space. Under the cut is a reference sheet, frequent tags and commission post. Enjoy your stay! 🧚⚒️

It’s TOTALLY understandable that Kratos would have so many fans and people who just love him (I happen to know his lover well hehehe) but I find it a little funny that I pointed RIGHT past the God of War and plucked a sweet legendary blacksmith and was like ♡you♡
don’t even say the word. not once. sindri would be absolutely horrified and double over in a nauseating punch to the gut by the thought alone.
would he take care of me? yes, absolutely but he will be very distant (as in actual distance) but whatever i needed i’m sure he’d be right to my aid…far away with a ten foot pole.
i don’t get mad at him because i know he’s trying. he’s naturally giving and him going against his utter germ fear to help makes me feel a bit better.
“how are you feeling? is your stomach okay? you’re not like …agh, euuuh, nauseous or anything? oh god, now i’m nauseous just thinking about iii-EEUHH-”
“if you need anything, just holler! but uhh, not too loud or anything. spreads beasties faster. Oh! and cover your mouth if you cough but I’m sure I don’t need to explain that … right?”
“Ah, right, sweat. Mhm. Yep. I’ll just get you a new set of clothes and cool water to help with the …sick.”

If it wasn’t for Sindri, I don’t think I would have talked to many people or reached out. It’s just a comfort to see someone that has similar personality traits as myself to a pretty big degree. And I guess seeing him be brave even when he’s terrified or even fighting his own phobias, he gets through them. Then that translates to me being able to do the same thing. I can talk to people a bit easier over the counter offline or even online now. Instead of just being extremely second guess-y and hating myself. I have my moments but I’ve learned everyone just gets so excited about interactions! It’s easier to forgive myself as well if I somehow come up short in a certain interaction.
I’ve met good people and seeing everyone love their f/o’s just gives me a bit more courage and a belonging I don’t think I’ve ever felt before until recently. Sindri has become a big part of my life and I’m glad to be a part of his too. 💚

This has ~1.7k words if you're up for a read. This is only the intro and there will most likely be more in the future. Take a read if you'd like! I apologize for any typos I may have missed. :<)
Tales of these sort tend to resonate to those who truly listen and look within. As love, just as war, blossoms in the cracks of life in hopes divisions can be mended. Yes, yes, as I will tell you the tale of the before times. Times that I remember quite fondly of before the looming terror that became of Odin floated in the sky on the wings of entrapped souls. So listen close, brothers and sisters and let me tell you the tale of the Passage Ways and two of the unlikely sort. A dwarf and a fairy.
Beyond the foothills and through the realms lay secrets not many dared push through. As much of this history belies within my own, a fairy truly is as mischievous as they are clever. The Fae having been elusive and having the reputation for being daring larks with unsuspecting mortals, no one dared to even go to the land of the Fae, Sidhe. That is until two sprouting blacksmiths had come into play.
Sindri and Brok.
“Will ya quit yer’ lollygaggin and get movin’?! By the time we reach the doorway, the damned guards will be long gone!” Brok exclaimed to his brother who hesitantly dragged behind. His brown eyes were wide with nervousness and fear.
“It’s not so much the guards I’m worried about but rather your incessant bellowing that could potentially wake terrible creatures!” Sindri snipped back as he quickened his pace despite wanting to completely turn around and head home. “Are you positive that the boss wanted us to come here? We’re not technically supposed to go this far, you know…because of the fae.” He whispers the last bit as Brok scoffs it off with a dismissive wave.
“Fuck that. It’s about damn time someone goes to knock on their door. They can’t hide forever. It’s fuckin’ creepy,” Brok mumbles, “startin’ to wonder if they’re hiding something.”
“I’m only wondering why the boss decided to send us here. I was never too fond of his business practices. Lunda nearly lost her hand not too long ago.”
The two proceeded down the thickening flora and tangles of fog. It shook Sindri to the bone but his fierce brother split the tangible mist and vines with his trusty sword. Every slash and tear lead them to a large stone wall, unassuming and a complete dead end.
“Oh, a dead end! Great! Fuckin’ fantastic,” Brok grumbles and kicked at the mighty stone as if it were to split on impact, “that boss of ours lead us astray like two headless chickens.”
Sindri looks beyond the wall taking a few cautious steps back. High it stood as a giant, piercing through the sky in all its intimidating glory. Sindri knew when others were trying to keep things away. He knew that with the faintest bit of magic in the air, something unknown was ahead but clearly shielded. As for the guards, there was no sight of them which made an uneasiness slither up Sindri’s back like a snake.
“I think…this is it.”
“What?” Brok looks over his shoulder, irritated, “can’t be…”
“It is. There’s a magic in the air.” Sindri holds his palm out to the gentle current of magic. It buzzes with an energy that almost seems foreign. Brok grumbles something once more but Sindri doesn’t catch what he assumed to be the string of curses he dare not repeat. Instead, Sindri takes a few steps to the wall and holds his ear up to it. “I can feel it. Hear it.”
“You’re really weirding me out with this whole thing, Sindri.” Brok side eyed his brother, his peculiarity making Brok suspect he really doesn’t split from the forge all too much or rather if the heat of it melted his brain. Sindri’s brows furrow at Brok’s remark before sighing and rolling his eyes. Then he lifts his hand to gently knock on the stone with a few knuckles.
tap tap tap.
At first, nothing appears or happens within the dense forests. The two brothers begin to doubt their journey far from home and nearly begin to trek back. Then a mighty crack shifts the ground beneath with a deafening roar! The two fall to the ground in the midst of the magical upheaval, sending both to practically launch in the air right after as the soil beneath split, cracks and shot high into the air. Sindri clings onto any debris he can but frantically searches for Brok who found himself stuck high in a tree canopy.
“Brok! Are-Are you okay?!” Sindri yells over the cracking of tree roots and even a louder split of stone ahead. He grips one base of a tree, scrambling to get a hold of something solid.
“Fuckin’ peachy!” Brok responds in his usual brusque fashion before cursing and doing his best to keep himself upright or not falling hundreds of feet to the ground below. Then, their gazes landed onto the mighty wall of stone ahead. Not only did the ground split but so did the protective shield of what laid beyond. Neither of them could believe it. Even the magic was so thick and pure in the air, it nearly made Sindri lose his foothold on the tree he had a death grip on.
A flood of winged soldiers suddenly push through and entrap both Brok and Sindri in a net. Sindri is crushed by the weight of his squirming brother, nearly knocking the air out of his lungs.
“Quit squirming! Quit it, Brok! I can’t breathe!” Sindri tries to fight himself out from the position he was in and thankfully, the two separated as much as as they could despite being captured in one net.
“Will you quite your bitching?! Hey, you winged snatchers! Let us go!” Brok yelled but realized that with a terrifying drop to the ground was that they were no longer in Svartalfheim or any other familiar realm all together. Folk with shimmering wings surrounded them as they spilled out from the net. As both Brok and Sindri gained their footing and dusted themselves off, the two realized that these were the elusive Fae everyone had been whispering tales of. Glares and gazes all settled on the two dwarves and before Brok could exclaim a hefty expletive, Sindri boldly steps forward even as he slightly trembled.
“We were sent here on a job of sorts! N-No harm is coming your way, I promise! We only wish to …p-provide services…” Sindri gulped, feeling the weight of stares stack on his shoulders like newly mined ore. Brok groans from Sindri’s feeble attempt to mend the growing disapproval and shoves him aside.
“What my brother is tryin’ to say is that we won’t kick your asses unless someone tells us what’s goin’ on and we can be scot-free.’’
From the ever growing audience that swarms around and above, Brok and Sindri stand side to side awaiting prosecution for stepping afoot on Fae land. Instead, a fairy makes her way to the front. A small smile curves her lips. Iridescent wings shimmer in the sunshine and it brims with magic. White and green fabrics drape over her figure and it was far different from the armor and furs of their home. She carried herself with a poise that freezes both brothers in what was awe or perhaps something far more considering Sindri was a mad mess and left Brok to snicker.
“I apologize for such a rude introduction to us. The two of you had taken the back way and we had assumed the worst.”
“So you lot just tear the realm apart from a simple knock?” Brok raises a brow and huffs almost incredulously, “talk about some over dramatic bullshi—”
“We should be terribly sorry, miss!” Sindri exclaims quickly, halting his brother, “it really wasn’t our intention to scare you. We were also sent by our boss and I suppose our instructions were not the best written. Do forgive us, umm…”
“Faith.” The Fae smiles, “and you two must be here on business?”
“Yeah. I’m Brok and that there is Sindri. Said you needed some work done,” Brok places his hands on his hips, looking around, “a lot of work done.”
“We do. We’ve heard the two of you are good in your field. So we reached out to a few businesses in hopes we could receive some assistance. So far, you are the only ones who have answered our call.”
“Maybe it’s on the account you fairy type are hiding away in the shadows. No one wants to work with ghosts unless it’s some big bird in Helheim.” Brok dusts himself in finality while Sindri blushes, unsure if it’s because of his Brok’s colorful personality or the fact a million eyeballs are set on the duo.
Now, you just may start to believe that this is where the tale truly begins. With that, dear lad or lass or …whoever you’d may be currently, yee be right. The Huldra brothers had yet to call a name for themselves and still worked tirelessly to be blessed upon fame and respect. So as the Fae called for help, the brothers set off to their small village of Nidavellir to call upon their kind to assist.
From carpenters to farmers and smiths alike, all had been on the path to Sidhe with much less of a forceful entrance. A passageway grand and beautiful had opened to the dwarves and together began a reparation which soon grew to be a strong bond between their kind. The connections and trust grew so much that the forests were bustling with work coming and going to Sidhe itself! It was quite a spectacle as even the soil remembers such paths today.
While the trade routes were at a sky high, you may remember one particular dwarf who was blushing madly at the newly found fairy. Sindri wasn’t always one to throw himself at a maiden as much as he does at his own forge. In fact, Brok insisted he’d peel away from the anvil entirely but Sindri refused. He believed that time wasted a good thing that was his projects which ultimately kept his lively brother in check. It is not to be mistaken that Brok hadn’t cared as much as Sindri for their climb to fame but rather his indulgences was his very own spark. Faith seemed to be an entirely new spark all together and while Sindri continued his practices, he found himself more in Sidhe under the guise of ‘fine-tuning his skills’ and figuring out why his heart hammered harder than a tool on steel.
Family was gifted an E-Bike and that was my first time ever riding one and oh my god I haven't felt this giddy since I was a kid. It was so peaceful and fun. Driving cars and stuff have been out of the question considering my anxiety is so bad and I've gotten into a bit of an accident on an ATV as well. I have the freeze reaction but to have a means of transportation is a big thing for me so I am truly grateful.
ALSO I have found my cat, Juno! I don't have her BUT I know her whereabouts and where she's been hanging out these past two weeks. It's at this shed that's up for auction so technically my brother and I were trespassing but the neighborhood knows we've been looking for her so that helps. Genuinely a relief. She's been hanging out with this younger cat but I don't think it's her kid or anything. Probably her street friend lmao. So I feel very thankful and appreciative. Hoping to have her home soon. :)
