The difference between Tumblr and Bluesky is that both will hit you with robot skeletons as a hear-me-out, but on Bluesky the debate is mainly about whether robot skeletons are fuckable, like, in principle, while on Tumblr the fuckability of robot skeletons is taken as given and we're merely dickering over which specific robot skeleton is the most fuckable.

"I am not a vessel for your good intent" goes hard as a line from a disabled perspective. Abled people care so much more about being their idea of a good ally than they do actually being a good ally. They shove their good intent right down your throat and then act surprised when you tell them they're suffocating you.

ok thank god there's so many fucking videos showing you how to do a ladder stitch like it's some kind of magic trick but here's the actual use case for it: closing a seam you can't reach the inside of. in all other cases, if you're fixing a ripped seam on pants, or on a tshirt, the ladder stitch is a messy, glorified running stitch.

Essential plush making technique, this one! Very good video, a lot of tutorials are kinda hard to parse for me.

They're using a nice thick thread in the video here, which I highly recommend. I use Coats and Clark's upholstery thread for all my ladder stitches when closing a seam like this or attaching a head to a body.

dehumanization as horror is great and all but what about humanization as horror. Being forced into a role that was not made for you. Being forced to fulfill expectations that you can never achieve. it's so crazy too bc i'll be like "this phrase/practice is being touted as ancient knowledge with a secret unbroken lineage, but it was quite literally made up in the 20th century. like we can trace it back to its very inception in like 1961." and someone will be like "that can't be true because my grandmother taught it to me." and i'm like yes your grandmother was 20 in 1961.
