Development images of an unused underwater hotel originally planned for Hotel Mario, published in 2025. This was almost certainly the scrapped hotel meant for Iggy, who does not have a hotel in the finished game.

The publication of these disproves the "Iggy's Cheese Hotel Theory" that stated that Iggy may have originally been planned to have the scrapped Cheese Hotel mentioned in interviews with the game's development team. It appears that the Cheese Hotel was simply never considered for the final game, and was shot down at an earlier stage in the process.

Please note that everything mentioned under "The facts" in the theory image is still accurate information; merely the speculation has been proven incorrect via the surfacing of additional information.

In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the final phase of the final boss battle against Bowser starts with him falling off the side of the castle, but then growing huge and holding onto the ledge with his arms. As such, the entire battle is fought against Bowser's upper body, with him never actually pulling himself all the way up the ledge.

However, there is an oversight whereby successfully using a Tail sticker to deflect one of his attacks will actually cause him to get pushed back and then take a step forward to reposition himself.

Since he is hanging from the ledge, clearly taking a step forward is an action that is neither physically possible nor intended by the developers, resulting in him becoming briefly displaced and taking a step on the ledge itself before hanging from it again. The footage shows the action in real-time and then slowed-down.

Rare, extremely early pre-release footage of Paper Mario showcasing a humorous moment of Mario kicking a palm tree and being hit in the head with a coconut.

Note the early sprites giving him more detailed eyes than the simple dot eyes in the finished game. In addition, in the finished game, Mario cannot kick and can only shake trees by hammering them.
