god israel's destruction of tyre is like especially depressing tbh like thats one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. people have lived there since the bronze age. there is so, so so much history and world heritage there that's being blown up and destroyed forever because its existence doesn't fit israel's nationalist vision of history.

Fadel's project was about creating an integrated system for managing the water desalination plant in Gaza electronically. This is an incredibly important project, because Israel has systematically destroyed Gaza's water treatment infrastructure, blocked repairs in countless ways, and targeted workers. It is extremely brave to be working on this project. Please donate so that Fadel can one day lend his skill to rebuilding Gaza. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

While Fadel shared this happy news with friends, he was interrupted by Israeli helicopters bombing nearby. There were four strikes on Gaza City last night and at least ten people were martyred. there's genuinely a real problem with how fat men are consistently only ever portrayed as attractive if they also display musculature and strength, similar to how fat women are only consistently portrayed as attractive if they have reduced stomachs and hourglass figures. if i'm pointing out that this character is like that i'm pointing to a larger trope that pisses me off. it's fat body respectibility politics manifested into a character who, may individually be fine and well written or whatever, but still contributes to a larger trope.

Digital circus' biggest problem is that it was written to be a niche show aimed at weird analytical queers with actual media literacy and it accidentally blew tf up and hit the mainstream and a bunch of people who have never had a second thought about anything got into it

it's baffling to still see people be like "you can convince white conservatives to like socialism if you don't use buzzwords! and then work on racism later" in the united states. like yeah, it probably is really easy to convince people that having things is good. how are you going to convince them that the people they hate having things isn't a problem?

her music is so good! AND she made a really good video essay arguing against copyright and modeling how artists can make money without it! and when you bring it up to other left-wing artists, if they make a face and go "oh, erm, that might not be the best source to show people, she's kind of... ...Problematic" then you know they're the type to cut ties to anyone who gets whisper-campaigned or HAL'd and you shouldn't rely on them for anything that requires trust anyway.
