as fun as petra parker is it really cannot be stated enough how in addition to MCU oversaturation being its own beast, Spider-Man comics themselves have been absolute dogshit for ten years at this point. like making parker a trans woman is a great idea but i also think its popularity speaks to a larger desire for literally any good editorial to happen at marvel, literally any at all, please, for the love of god. like marvel is addicted to somehow simultaneously Shaking Things Up while Never Meaningfully Changing Anything and the people yearn for something fucking good to happen
