To figure out why "beastie is bad and becomes good by being not beastie" keeps hitting minorities as collateral you have to understand it is not collateral, it just wasn't your intent, because the language used to describe this was created a long time ago, and persists because, as you might imagine, racism and ableism are very much real.

Even when you think it won't (art makes us human used recently against autistics) it does, because the very premise is like that.
