this was an enjoyable ride. i liked the scenery very much. smooth suspension, nice height, several fascinating loops. 10/10 would go again.

I kind of miss the impulsivity that certain spaces used to allow. oh you want a hair cut today? hairdresser in the corner can fit you in before her 2 o’clock. tattoo of a cobra… sure leg or arm? even concerts, back when you could go to the box office thirty mins before any show. not saying these things don’t exist at all, but everything feels booked five months in advance and 10x more expensive

I remember first learning that you can cry from any emotion, that emotions are chemical levels in your brain and your body is constantly trying to maintain equilibrium. so if one emotion sky rockets, that chemical becomes flagged and signals the tear duct to open as an exit to release that emotion packaged neatly within a tear. Everything made sense after learning that. That sudden stability of your emotions after crying. How crying is often accompanied by the inability to feel any other emotion in that precise moment. And it is especially beautiful knowing that it is even possible to experience so much beauty or love or happiness that your body literally can’t hold on to all of it. So what I’ve learned is that crying signifies that you are feeling as much as humanely possible and that is living to the fullest extent. So keep feeling and cry often and as much as needed

i swear to god using this site is like teaching a class of kindergarteners

every time I talk to a goy about Judaism, even basic stuff, I get some variation of “I didn’t know that”—and I don’t expect them to, it’s not their culture and we are very small—but I refuse to believe the average person knows even half of enough to justify the confidence with which they say their critiques of “religion” apply to all Abrahamic religions.

It is natural for them to assume Jews subscribe to Christian biblical conceptions and interpretations, simply subtracting the New Testament….even though so much of that doctrine was worked out in the hundreds of years after the fall of Jerusalem, hundreds of miles away, and never based on either a Jewish cultural or religious understanding to begin with.
