Unrequited Love (Pt. 2) | Mercy X Genji X Reader

It's been years... probably around 6 years since you up and left Overwatch. You watched on the news how the organization fell apart after Sojourn testified against them in court and that was the main downfall. You missed everyone. You left without a trace; no one could find you. Did you like it that way...? Maybe, you weren't quite sure how to feel. Your heart would hurt every now and then when you thought about your old friends and how you couldn't ask them if they were okay. Contact with any former Overwatch agent would get you in trouble...

After all you were in Talon now.

"You in your head again?" Sombra asked coming out of her stealth ability.

"Just thinking." You would respond shortly.

"Boss wants us to meet. You in?"

Hanzo He'll have to remind himself that you can be friends and hangout with anyone you want. Being jealous is selfish and childish... right? So why does he feel so sad seeing you happy with someone else? He understands that you love him more than anything. But sometimes this man just wants you to himself. When you finally get back to Hanzo, he'll make sure to hold you close in the privacy of his room and tell you that he just wants to be enough for you. Please tell him he is enough and that there is no one else that will come in between you both. It will make him feel more confident in himself. :(

Genji The ultimate playboy when he was his younger self...oh how the tables have turned. He used to make all the girls jealous of each other if they got to talked to him. He's used to people being jealous of him if anything. So when this weird feeling started when he say you with a random new recruit in the lounge talking and laughing, what got into him? Genji couldn't help himself. He quickly walked up and excused you both as he took your hand and led you out of the Gibraltar lounge. Was it rude? He simply was not thinking nor did he care. He did apologize for the sudden intrusion while walking you to his room. In there all alone with you, he confessed how he felt. It seemed like the most mature thing.

Genji Genji set up his super duper nice futon mats on his bedroom floor, he can’t really feel the hard floor, but he’d like for you to be as comfortable as you can be around him. You’ve been together for so long yet he always feels like he needs to do everything perfect for you. He set up little scented candles a good distance away from the futon mats. He put on his best cuddling sweater on, took of his mask/face plate and sat on one of the mats. Genji was super nervous about his sort of simplistic idea of an anniversary evening with him. When you entered the room he jolted up and greeted you, “H-Happy Anniversary, (Name)!!” He smiled brightly.

Cassidy This cowboy asked Genji what to do, Genji advised him to set up a romantic evening in his room, anddddd Cassidy did just that. He scattered rose petals on his new clean sheets, which he had Commander Morris wash for him, lit candles on his bed-side tables. Cassidy made sure to grab your favorite snacks and beverages for this special night. He made sure to cover you in small kisses all over. When in bed, he’ll tease you relentlessly thinking about all the memories y’all created over the years. If you’re feeling up for it, he is down to get a little naughty. (eyes emoji)

Connor X Reader Dating Headcanon List (SFW)

Genji (Present) He’s heartbroken. He opened up to you and got hurt in the end. He believed his relationship with you would last until the end of time, but everything comes to an end. He’ll be distracted a lot, Winston won’t put him on teams as much. He sits in his room just staring off into space while he wonders what he could have done to keep you with him just a bit longer. Zenyatta invites him to meditate with him, and after a lot of refusal he complies and goes with his master. After clearing his mind he understands that things won’t go back to the way they were, but he wants the two of you to be friends at the very least. It’ll be awkward at first, but you two will learn to build your friendship back up.

McCree He’ll be down in the dumps for the longest time. Everyone would be worried for him, he hasn’t left his room in a couple weeks, Genji would drop by and supply him with his needs. Jesse put everything on pause, he didn’t want his life to continue without you. Deep down he knew things wouldn’t go back to the way they were. He has dark thoughts, he even ponders if he should team up with his old bud, Reaper, on Talon. When Jesse gets down, he doesn’t become so happy easily. But even he knows that time will continue and he realizes that he shouldn’t rot away in his room for so long, he invites a few of his buds to go drinking and it brings happiness to his life again. Genji and Tracer encourage the cowboy to accompany them on a mission and it sparks the fire within him again. He learns to forget about the past that the two of you made, Overwatch is a big organization, he hasn’t seen you in the longest time, and maybe that’s how he likes it.

Reaper He hates you, despises you. His heartbreak leads to wanting to kill you. Whenever his squad is fighting yours he’ll target you, he wants you to suffer as much as he does. You’ll feel his shotgun bullets blow you to pieces every mission you go on, and Mercy rezes you every time, making you relive the pain.

Tracer What? You’re breaking up with her? How could you?! She only cried once, she loved you a lot, but if anyone knew how significant time was it would be her. Lena didn’t want to spend her limited time on this planet crying over one heartbreak, she knew that eventually something else as great as you were will come to her, and she was right, she met her girlfriend, Emily.

Mercy She doesn’t get why you broke up with her, she was so good to you… Angela starts drinking…like a lot, you could compare it to McCree’s habit. It gets you off her mind, that was the only reason why she did it. Angela sent a request to Winston that she’d only take care of the patients that are at the base and not in the battefield, that way she would be able to pick her patients. She didn’t want you to see her in this state, it was the lowest she’s been in a while now. She knows that sooner or later she’ll be called into the battefield, but for now she wanted to drink her problems away and never see your face.

He’s a shy kid at first, he does small gestures like taking your hand when you exit the Regalia and leading you to the campsite

But boii, when you two start to get more comfortable around each other he just expresses how energetic and excited about this relationship. 

When it’s sunset he takes you out to take pictures, whether its in town, near the beach, or ion the fields. You’re his super hot model and he’ll never get tired of taking pictures of you

Again when he gets more comfortable with you he gets really clingy and almost always wants to hold your hand

he even kisses you in front of the guys cause he likes to show off

Prompto and Noct will always have this little battle after Prompto shows affection to you in front of the guys

He only allows you to hold his camera if he needs someone to keep it for a bit, its so important to him

He’s the best nurse, whenever you’re sick, he’s always running to get medicine for you and taking care of you

Genji Genji is quite lonely without you. Sure, he has Zenyatta at his side, but his mind always ends up thinking about you while he meditates. You two video chat as often as possible, while writing letters in between. You always thought it was cute, Genji used to write letters to Angela when she was away, so he wanted to do it with you as well. (In a way more romantic side tho) While you two video chat, he doesn’t hold back at all, he winks and blows kisses towards the screen like it’s going to land on your cheek. It seems like he’s his flirty teenage self again, but only towards you.

Angela It’s been tough for her, with you being away and having to care for others. She gets to visit you once a month, but that’s okay. It fuels her to keep going. Late at night while you’re in bed and she’s working on paperwork and working in her lab she calls you and you two could talk on the phone for hoursssss. Like Angela has a lot to talk about, it’s great for the two of you. You get to hear her angelic voice, and she gets to ramble on about her experiences.

Hanzo He tries to seem like he’s not lonely without you, but he feels a hole in his heart. He knows you’re only gone for a while, but man, this dude has it hard. This feeling of wanting you is burdening him, it makes his heart drop and pull at the strings constantly. When he recived a letter from you he was thrilled to read it. He stached it somewhere in his room, keeping it like a prized posession. You had offered to start calling on the phone more often and he agreed. It’s been going well so far, with him getting to hear your voice and you getting to hear his.

McCree He’s super duper lonely without you, but he’ll always fine a way to make you send him pictures of your pretty face. He’d send you pictures of him too! “It’s our 274th day anniversary…gimmie a picture of you, honey.” You’d laugh and send one just to make your huckleberry feel better. He’d be soooo happy seeing you. He’s the kind of dude to send good night and good morning texts…and spur of the moment nudes.

Soldier 76 This old fart doesn’t know how to work a phone, so he doesn’t video chat with you a lot unless he’s at the base on a computer. You go for the old sending letters, which feels kinda romantic in a way, lovers across the globe sending heartfilled letters to keep in touch with one another. He misses you a lot more than he lets on, but he busies himself with training and new recruits.

Lucio With him on tour, it’s rough. Not being able to see your dork has made you a little lonely. You guys try to video chat as much as possible when he’s traveling to different cities. He’s the type to butter up his lover and make them feel like they’re together again. “I play a lot of music, but you’re my favorite song.” (Pretty sure it’s a DvaXLucio thing butttt)

uwu I wanna cuddle with hubby~~

Genji He’s a little hesitant to cuddle with you, not in a offensive way. but he just thinks that it’d be super uncomfortable to cuddle with his cyborg body. You’ll have to persuade him a lot. He’d still worry that you might be uncomfortable with his body, he’s so extra that he’ll put on two hoodies so that you could feel more comfortable. Genji is really happy that you want to cuddle with him~

Reaper He really...isn’t into cuddling. Reaper isn’t the affectionate type of guy, go figure, but if you annoy him just enough... He’ll probably accept. You’ll have to do most of the touching part, like wrapping your arms around him, he’d refuse to do anything but lay there like a log. If it makes you feel better, he’d lowkey want you to bug him to cuddle again sometime. 

McCree Yee haw~ Jesse is always down to cuddle, he lives for affection. As soon as you asked he’d pick you up and carry you to your shared bed. He’d wrap his arms around your waist and pull you so close, squeezing you and nuzzling his face in your neck.

Soldier 76 He doesn’t get that much time off, but if did have extra time he’d agree to spend time with you. He’d let you do all the arms hanging around his neck and stuff, he’s always tired when it’s his time off, so you gotta do all the actions. 

Mercy It’s a little rare for her to cuddle with you, since she’s always occupied with tweaking her Valkryie suit and patching up injuried patients. Whenever she has downtime, Mercy certainly would cuddle with you. You two would just talk and cuddle in bed, she has a lot to talk about every time, it’s nice to hear her voice as you two slowly fall asleep in each other’s arms.

Dva You’ll have to catch her when she’s super tired. Usually, she’s too hyper to stay still and cuddle, wanting to spend time either playing games or practice her lines. She likes to put her hand on your shoulder as you two cuddle.

She likes to do your hair, it doesn’t matter how short or long, this gremlin will stick a handful of bows into your hair. 

Most important of all, she streams with her friends occasionally! It gets boring streaming all alone. 

One of those friends being you, she’d make sure to get all the game preferences you like, so that you’d feel more comfortable playing in front of thousands of people. 

She doesn’t like to binge watch an entire show alone, so she invites someone to watch it with her

Whenever she invites you to watch it with her, the two of you would stay up to watch the entire season and flip shit when something you both find annoying happens

Hand Soap He’s going to be flustered, okay this man isn’t used to people confessing to them like Genji when they were younger. He never thought anyone would really like him, so when you told him that you like/love him, he’s so confused. He’d ask why you would take an interest in him.

Gengu Dudeeee, he was once a playboy, but that was before he became a cyborg. He’s so not used to someone confessing their love for him anymore. You can’t see but he’s totally blushing under his face plate, and he started to stutter with his words. He’d be happy enough to ask you on a date, just to give it a shot. 

CowMan He’d give you that cocky grin and tip his hat you. He’d then walk off, the next following week would be the most embarrassing week of your life. He’d tease you so much about you liking him. He’d occasionally slide in a few cheesy pick up lines.  

Angel.a Stunned. Pinned. Elimated. She turns into a mess, someone confessing to her? Angela has always thought of her work being strictly professional. Like Genji, she’d be happy enough to give you a shot and take her out on a date. 

Trace.R She’s kinda happy that you like her that way. She’d invite you take go on a date, to see how it goes. She’s a little too happy, maybe she’s always liked you too? Lena would be smiling so much around you now. It’s a little evident that she really likes you too/ 

Egde Boy It really depends if he takes an interest in you or not, if he doesn’t he’d probably laugh at you and walk off. If he does like you, then he’d probably just walk away. He’s not good with confrontations. :|
