i really do not think the earper fandom is real anymore. that mythical “we’re kind to everyone” thing has ended. numerous times i have tried to reach out and interact with earp stanning twitter accounts and i have been ignored.Â
admittedly had better luck with tumblr, but i use twitter a lot so it would be nice to have someone to earp with there. do i? no. i have even pumped myself up enough to respond to “big fan accounts” like the nedley’s office and the tales of the black badge. while these are bigger accounts, so yeah they can’t respond to everyone, i have also still been disregarded.Â
most recent event with this: i love melanie scrofano with all my heart (sorry gf) and i saw some tweet about someone coming fresh off earp expo and wanting to start a mel-centric group chat that would just be to spam photos and stuff. they asked for a like or a reblog if you were interested. i commented and liked it, was i added? no. i saw the person on twitter several times over the days it became where i was ignored. it’s really disappointing. i have absolutely no one else to fangirl about mel with, other than my sib who just endures it but doesn’t watch the show but bless them.Â
tumblr we-stans are better, definitely because the most supportive of this blog have been we-stans. but still, practice the kindness you preach. it doesn’t take much. for instance with twitter, a like to see that you saw my comment would be amazing, and is relatively simple to do; even if you just go down the line and like every single comment. the effort to do that might not be much, and sure it might be time consuming, but it could mean the world to someone.Â
anyway, done rambling. trying to do more poetry but this summer so far has been rough for my depression for some reason.Â
First, I'm sorry you're not getting the connection you're looking for!  The internet is a harsh landscape where some flowers flourish and others can't seem to even break ground.  That's why I've never looked for validation within the two-dimensional confines of its alluring pool of random strangers.  Instead, look outward!  Talk to the people in your day-to-day life be it your job, school, workout class, etc.  Form a connection that doesn't require the click of a mouse, but an undocumented conversation.  That’s something to crave; that’s something to hope for.
Second, why anonymous?  Who you are matters!  Don’t take that away from yourself.  If you need a friend, I’m here.

I love how the whole family is going!  Like how did that convo go, “Alright, who’s up for a road trip to the underworld?”
I just finished watching Jessica Jones, and while I understand that many gay women are starving for some representation and may find an otp with Jessica and Trish, I personally want and need them to be sisters/friends. We do not see enough loving and supportive female friendships. Women in shows and movies are often shown as competitors first and foremost, and it’s just so wonderful to see two women platonically loving and believing in one another without a need for some romantic undertone. I’m kind of sick of romantic undertones. I much prefer (and CRAVE) shows about deep and loving friendships, where “just friends” is enough and “I love you” doesn’t mean “I want to have sex with you”. Sex and romance is EVERYWHERE, crammed down our throats every moment with movies, shows, advertising, books, etc. (I should talk, eh, with the books I write). Can we just let this be about the love between two sisters and friends? Just this once?
