This Korean-style grilled flank steak is marinated in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar, resulting in a tender and juicy steak with a delicious umami flavor.
Ingredients: 1 lb flank steak. 3 tbsp soy sauce. 2 tbsp sesame oil. 2 tbsp brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp ginger, grated. 2 green onions, chopped. 1 tbsp sesame seeds. 1/4 tsp black pepper.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, green onions, sesame seeds, and black pepper to create the marinade. Place flank steak in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it's evenly coated. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade and discard excess marinade. Grill steak for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness is reached. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly against the grain. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
