I've been struggling with my fitness goals and limitations on top of a fall at work right before the holidays. I had signed up to run in a half-marathon that was this month, but had to drop out of which has been disappointing for me. My pain levels weren't so bad and I was feeling really good about the progress I was making and then boom 💥 I hadn't realized I was so down about the whole thing until I found this #throwback and remembered how I felt then compared to now. Self-love is a struggle, but for every mountain there's a peak and a nice clear view of how to move forward. Thankful for the amazing support and all of the inspiration from the people I meet here on instagram. You remind me to be kind to myself, stay motivated and do what makes me happy. Snagged this post from someone I respect so much and it got me thinking about how lucky I am to be surrounded by such a badass group of women and how honored I am to call them all my friends. After kicking 2016 out and hustling 2017 in, I realized what it WAS instead of what it wasn't. With the anxiety of an unexpected win for an unlikely winner I took the time to digest what it was for me... So thankful for all of the women in my life, but I'm especially thankful for the ones that live nearby. Sunday night's Golden Globes speech by the "over-rated" Meryl Streep was so moving to me all the way up to the very last minute when she quoted her friend in life Carry Fisher, "take your broken heart and make it into art."
