"to exist is to survive unfair choices"
The OA was one of my favorite shows, i'm real messed up about it being cancelled. brit marling is a legend and the show will always hold a special place in my heart, this scene especially.
@britmarling please let homer and OA have a garden and let homer plant vegetables please
Brit & The OA
I have no words for the mistake that Netflix has done by cancelling The OA.
What really amazes me is how Brit is handling everything. She doesn't even only created, writed and acted in it, but also she's the one who had to transmit the message to the fans. And not blaming Netflix, but saying a farewell mixed with true feelings.
She is just so pure.

old night.
The OA
What if...now stay with me...this show was just Brit Marling’s scheme to snag a man and the two men who are going to fight to death for her are Jason Isaacs (who as we learned is playing motherfucking Jason Isaacs British accent and all) and Emory Cohen (who last we saw is still playing Homer Roberts..which at this point we need to change it up)?
Momma didn’t raise an idiot.
The OA
The scene with OA/Nina in the foyer of Treasure Island, her back to Homer, is probably my favourite of season 2.
Beginning so powerfully with the OA standing with her back to the camera. Even from her stance you are aware she isn't the same woman any longer.
Nina's confidence ripples from her, but the smile, the smile is OA. She exudes a warmth that she'd lost for much of the season.
By suppressing Nina she was suppressing part of what makes her so powerful; her love.
As she rides in the elevator with Homer, she has fully reclaimed that power.
The entire scene is exquisite.
