🌿 I sit here on the soft grass, breathing in the fresh clear air, and I know this week will be filled with beautiful and huge possibilities.

My girlfriend and I have been sober for several months, and we’re excited to be starting a new chapter in Gustavus, Alaska. We’ve both secured jobs—I'll be working as a sous chef, and my girlfriend will be the front desk worker at a local business. This move represents a fresh start for us, and we’re determined to make the most of this opportunity.

However, getting to Alaska is a big undertaking. We need to be there by May 14th, 2026, and the costs of relocating are adding up quickly. On top of that, we’re also helping my VA veteran father move into another apartment this weekend, which we’re paying for out of pocket. Balancing these expenses while staying focused on our sobriety and new beginnings has been challenging, but we’re hopeful that with a little help, we can make it all work.
