good questions!

amusingly, one of The First Things that i drew charon doing was deliberately smashing his arm and then making it rapidly regrow within the body of a vengefly king. i never shared this, however, and i don't have the juice to redraw it presently. but imagine that it was cool 😎

so- yes! his arm can shatter either from strong blows at the proper angles, from crushing pressure, or potentially from an overload of energy (mainly via laser misfire, as depicted in dweeb's art).

and it'll either regrow gradually on its own, or charon can focus energy to it to make it grow faster. by default, it'll regrow into the shape of his blade arm, but if he concentrates and practices, he can make it take different shapes.

you might recall that in some of my older art, i have drawn him with a crystal arm. like, with a hand and fingers and general arm shape. this one was not grown by him, and instead was shaped by another bug and grafted to his existing crystals so he could use it. (this crystal shaping bug belongs to someone else, as this is something that happened in our group roleplay server)

once his crystals stored the shapes and functionalities of the crystal arm via the grafting process, he could regrow it as an arm again if it got shattered. or he could choose to let it be blade shaped again.

it's been years since that rp group has been active (though i still think of it fondly. waving hi to anyone from there who might be reading this~), so i have mostly gone back to his default design, unaffected by any alterations caused in that shared rp space.

...i should probably try to indicate when something is canon or au for him. i like to put him in situations that he wouldn't actually be in if i were respecting his canon story. for example, anything with him and chartreuse is au. alas.

thanks for the ask! there's actually more to all the crystal stuff that i mostly keep as unspoken rules/justifications, but it's in my head regardless. i'm happy to yap about my characters anytime

#myfreak. Svihel's story has also been very inconsistent so um? I don't have anything concrete but at last a morally decent wizzrobe right ???

Svihel and Tephra were an item for a while after their mutual defection but obviously went in very different directions with escaping the Calamity. Svihel's plan was to go into hiding and try its best to give itself and Tephra the most normal life two fugitive wizzrobes can have, and Tephra's plan was vengeance. You can imagine how that went. I'll expand on it whenever I figure out how to draw Hobby.

I imagine Svihel is maybe just short of Rezek's age ?? Not by much or anything, maybe somewhere between it and tri-attack. I'm not sure what its relations with all the defectors would be yet, but I think it would admire them, even if it has more of a Brix type mindset regarding the big final battle.
