I used to live near the campus for Kansas State, and in 2003, I asked the biology professor there if a cat and a rabbit could ever actually produce offspring. Now, what he didn't know is the reason I was asking is because I was really into Tenchi Muyo, and had been for a long time, and I wanted to know if it was possible to get a pet that was half cat and half rabbit like Ryo-Ohki. I didn't tell him that part. But he stared at me for a good 30 seconds, and I could tell his brain was breaking, because nobody had ever asked that question before. And finally, he goes, "There's no possible way on God's earth that would ever happen. Now get the fuck out of my office." And I still think about it, 23 years later.

Asking that to a normal average human would make them want to violently remove you from any place of education. So the fact a University Biology Professor used words as a response and not hands showed he has much more inner strength than most of us.

I have a few sisters. The one geographically closest to me I talk to all the time. I give her a hard time but she's a good person. I think my other sisters are good people but I don't talk to either of them very often.

if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite

also note this is a PARASITIC infection. most diarrhea-causing pathogens you expect to contaminate your greens are bacteria (e.g. e. coli and salmonella), which are a different domain of organism altogether. cyclospora is a protozoan, which is bigger and more complicated than a bacteria (for reference, malaria is also caused by a protozoan). bacterial diarrhea can be dangerous, but you might also expect to weather it and survive unscathed. do NOT fuck with PARASITIC contamination. you should be scared of this one!

Extra note: this parasite can only be found in human feces, this food was contaminated due to a lack of bathrooms and washing stations on harvesting sites due to loosening enforcement of food safety regulations. This was more than preventable, we used to prevent it.
