as our personal favorite platform... Wafrn exists as the only Fediverse alternative to Tumblr—since, unfortunately, it doesn't appear that we'll be seeing that shift to ActivityPub servers anytime soon. plus Wafrn's developer is constantly active and consistently improving the website. it's already incredibly well-developed—support the project NOW to enable a privacy-friendly future for blogging.

Wafrn on F-Droid [Android]

Gabriel here again, to remind—yet again—that this project is yet to be abandoned. after contemplations and rational thinking, i've come to terms that the unfortunate may be true... that it may take many years, an indeterminable amount in truth, for the Fediverse to reach an earnest standing against that of the mainstream social media. while this should not in any way discourage actively using and supporting these platforms and their incredible developers, it's left me to contemplate if maintaining a balance between the two cyberverses is currently the most effective strategy.

ultimately, it's gonna take a while to substantiate and further populate these decentralized platforms, and focusing solely upon them can tend to feel rather desolate [from my own perspective, at least.] furthermore, it's far and few between that anything monumental occurs worth actively sharing here—yet it's exhilarating when it does.

PEERTUBE NOW ON iOS ⚠️

Every so often I'll search "Fediverse" in the App Store—not expecting to find anything too exciting. HOWEVER! Today... right at the end of the search query... what did I find? Framasoft's official app release of PeerTube!? 🥹

For the time being, users are able to locate instances and enjoy video content; however, there's no current option to log into accounts. They've stated in the App's description what to expect from future releases, obviously with this feature being a priority.
