Portraits: Awesome Glam Rock designs, very “Gem and the Holograms” inspired. Could easily see them as the designs if Equestria Girls was set in the 70’s and 80’s.

Toys: “GOOD LORD, SWEET JESUS WHERE IS MY HOLY WATER AND CRUCIFIX?!?!?!?!” I still plan to buy them…I’m a collector to a fault.

I see this as a recurring flaw in all of the mlp toylines, frankly. Theres a consistent issue of like. The show making very interesting and creative designs with a super unique artstyle, and NONE of that translating into toys.

Though granted, theyre not always perfect. Those rainbow power designs are a little silly, not all winners. Reminds me of mega evolutions.

Like it doesn't serve much of a purpose other than "hasbro wanting their version of monster high"

I personally have so may issues with these toys design wise as well as lore wise.

Now before I continue, has mlp had some "human dolls" in the past? Well yes but it never really stick.

Like the first time mlp had a human in mlp was in the 80s with this Megan and Sundance toy

They look completely different people...

So yea not the first time hasbro had screw up a human toy for mlp.

Also imma be real, most people were here to collect the ponies so yea.

Another issue with EG well at least to me are these two things 1. Hasbro are cowards to about giving the main 6 actual ethnicities and just give them these Doug ahh skin colors. And 2. They aged down the main 6 to be teens in the human world. Which tbh never made sense to me ever.

Another thing tho is that if hasbro wanted to make their wannabe monster high toyline so badly, they could just do two things. 1 make a completely separate toyline or they could of gone for a different route for EG and made the main 6 into anthros.

Listen if they could make toys of the main six but babies that has nothing to do with the actual show itself then they could of easily just made anthro mlp dolls randomly on the side. Like idk man they could of gone in the Takara pony route and to promote the toys just make these mini shorts of the mane six and other ponies living their lives with a few silly bits here and there.

And as for hasbro just wanting a fashion doll to complete with monster high. Tbh they could of brought back peteena cuz I know they still have that ip just laying around in their vault.

Like I may sound biased here cuz I am but like humans in mlp just never really fit to begin with. Like the issues with the "blythe loves lps" toyline hasbro genuinely kinda lost the plot. Considering the reason why mlp was unique is how the whole gimmick was the ponies and the ponies alone.

oh yea unrelated when I mentioned how Hasbro refused to give any of the pony characters any ethnicity within the eg toyline just look at Zecora...

Been thinking about getting into stickers for a couple things; anyone have suggestions on whqt kind of machines to look at for cutting?
