when your pet comes to you from another room, the preceding moments meant that they were alone somewhere and thought about YOU, an animal brain literally thought about you and came to you to see what you were doing. that’s love, unconditional.

I love this so much. Too many times on Tumblr I've seen the "Single, Live for Myself and Nobody Else" woman and the "Domestic/Family Housewife" woman pitted against each other and trying to showcase how one lifestyle is better than the other. Showing how both sides are extremely similar in goals, but said goal taking a slightly different form for each individual is something I really enjoy.

Also nobody talks about being both - having a career and passions and having a family.

And to focus on the lgbt aspect — there’s no one ideal lgbt lifestyle either for women!! Some gay and/or trans women want to be mothers, others don’t. Some gay and/or trans women want to get married, others want relationships without marriage, and others don’t want any long-term relationships at all. All of these choices are equally valid and the only important thing is that these women are doing what’s best for them (and what’s best for their partner, if they have one).
