after the events of the books, when lamen start living and ruling together laurent discovers what it feels like to be horny all the time (and he's incredibly surpsised about it), but he's way too shy and embarrassed to voice it so he tries to pretend it isn't happening.

so he's basically watching damen hungrily all the time and getting more and more frustrated each day, all the while becoming more okay with touch from damen and it's a dangerous mix - because damen is careful with him after learning what the regent did to him, but also he's affectionate. at first he doesn't realize the effect he's having on laurent.

he only realizes it when he kisses laurent's neck and a full body shiver goes through him. laurent plays it off probably but the deal is done and now damen notices. all the time. and oh boy does he love it.

he's like a kid in a candy store about it. he's so giddy. and he's a little shit about it too. touching laurent in a way he knows will make him insane, but waiting for laurent to initiate all the while laurent is dying from the pent up sexual frustration.

Now as per my opinion for their postcanon, (feel free to debate, i know it's all interpretation and personal interest and i can be swayed to other views!) my guy laurent would probably not be too shy to the point of not iniciating things when he has the hotties (rather blush at sweet courting things, like when he calls damen attractive, when caught watching the road, etc) and damen is so very ready to jump into it action without notice if laurent just so look at him with half miligram of horny... but yeah, he'll be smug abt it, his one fuckboy trait that wont go away 😌

Damen has always been careful in their lovemaking, atuned to laurent's gives, checking for consent very naturally, i dont think he'd change their sex life bc he knows abt laurent's past abuse (nor would laurent appreciate it, i think?) He's already often letting laurent iniciate and set the tone of their sexual encounters, meeting him midway (then blowing his mind, showing new things). Not to say it's not something they'd never address, summer palace shows they're taking steps to deal with their baggage.
