Generations Selects
Voyager Class
Sandstorm
by Hasbro (2021)
This is figure I got at Christmas back in 2021. Yeeees, I know it’s 2024 now...It’s be 2022 soon here on my blog-time. I’ll catch up one of these days.
This version of Sandstorm is supposed to be an Earthrise representation from the Generation Two toyline (though the only two G2 Seekers I remember as a kid was Starscream & Ramjet, and as of the date of this posting there’s still no G2 Starscream), so I’m guessing Sandstorm is supposed this Generation Selects figure is supposed to be based off of an unused concept. That’s fine.
Vehicle Mode:
Flight mode is basically a dessert camo type repaint of the Earthrise Seeker jet with Ramjet’s wings.
I think the jet looks great! It’s solid, it’s got a cool shark teeth at the nosecone. I dig it.
Sandstorm is sporting a G1 Decepticon badge, and I’m not a fan of that since he’s supposed to be G2. Very lazy of you Hasbro.
Transformation:
If you have any Earthrise Seeker, or any of the older deluxe Classic Seeker figures you know how this guy transforms. If you graduated from Kindergarten you know how this guy transforms.
Robot Mode:
Robot mode is you standard cone-head Seeker, except in desert camo.
Sandstorm poses okay. He’s got most of the modern engineering minus a waist rotation.
Accessories:
Sandstorm’s only accessories are his arm blasters, which are blast effect compatible.
Final Thoughts:
My slowly growing G2 Decepticon is getting there.
Sandstorm is pretty good. He’s just as good (or bad) as any other of the Earthrise Seeker molds out there. I’m not noticing any mold degradation. He stands well, looks good.
If I were to voice any complaint is that Sandstorm isn’t sporting a G2 Decepticon badge. Same issue that I have with G2 Ramjet. Except Ramjet is flashier and more 90′s.

R.E.D.
Optimus Primal
by Hasbro (2021)
I don't exactly remember when I got this guy, but it was sometime back in 2021. I guess it doesn't really matter anyway.
This is Optimus Primal. We've seen him before, but THIS version is part of the now defunct (or I presume it is by now) R.E.D. toyline or 'Robot Enhanced Design' line Just a fancy way of Hasbro trying to merge the concepts of Action Masters and Star Wars' Black Series figures.
I've covered a few of them at this point, and I never bought that many, aside from the obligatory Optimus Prime, Megatron, and a few others; I thought mostly the line was a bit of a let down.
But I would say Optimus Primal is (mostly) an exception.
Bot mode:
I suppose it would be pointless to talk about the beast mode, considering he doesn't have one.
Anyway, Optimus Primal is in his Season 1 robot mode, and I gotta say, THIS is fantastic!
The sculpting of the fur is so good; some of the best in my opinion.
The Optimus head sculpt might be one of the best Primal head sculpts I've ever seen too (though I do think the blue of his helmet and the gray of his mask are bit too dark).
The range of motion on this figure is good. The toy is capable of a lot of different poses which is great for photography.
For some reason, the chest panel and the backpack are removable, and I'm not really sure why. There is some sculpting under the chest panel, so I suppose this could be a form of battle damage...OR maybe since some of the other R.E.D figures have similar removable pieces, perhaps they can swapped around to different figures...
Accessories:
Optimus Primal comes with few accessories; a pair of closed fists and his two swords.
Starting with the swords. They're fine. I think they look really nice, they feel solid, and look accurate to the shows design.
On the downside, however, is not with the swords, but with Optimus' gripping hands.
The plastic of the gripping hands is very thick and not very maleable. I had to exert some strength in order to wedge those sword handles into the hands. It's not fun.
Swapping out the grip hands for the closed fists is very simple. And once you got those dukes on, Optimus Primal is ready to box.
They look fine, but I wish Optimus came with another pair of hands, with open palms or something.
Final Thoughts:
R.E.D. Optimus Primal might be one of the best this line had to offer (in spite of its flaws) in its brief existence.
The sculpting is good, the level of articulation is good, the accessories...are lacking. But at the end of the day, it's just fun. Maybe not $20 worth of fun, but fun nonetheless.
I do have to say that I think 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime scales in well with RED Optimus Primal

Maximum Bludgeonage!!

Collaborative Edition

Draculus
By Hasbro (2021)
12-16-21
Robot mode:
Beast Mode:
I think it’s kinda silly that Draculus has a gun (I mean yea the toy is a Mindwipe retool) but I think this Bionicle sword works well for him. He holds it well enough.
Draculus VS Starscream
And of course Draculus knows how to seduce the fembots.
My latest haul. Which I still have e to open and review, and I'm still looking at a two year backlog. Lol!
Shockwave's victory over Megatron & Optimus Prime.
It's been a long time since I've posted, but I think I'm going to try to post regularly again.
I know I'm a few weeks late on this, but I really enjoyed the first season of X-Men97.
It kind of inspired me to add to my small Toy Biz collection from the 90s.
I practically doubled the size of my collection thanks to Ebay, a toy convention, and a local comicbook store

Toy Display update.
Hey everyone, I know I don't post here as often as I used to, but I decided to post pretty much all of the figures that I currently have on display, just because.
I have to admit, I'm not liking the updates here. There was a time I could organize all the pictures in the order that I wanted them, and then type in my descriptions and comments.
However it seems now I can't create a new line above or below a picture like I used to. For future posts I guess I'll have to learn to plan ahead better.
Some of my random: TMNT, Street Fighter, Spawn, Alucard
And some of my Jaxx Pacific Mario figures:
Star Trek ships. Some Eaglemoss, some Hotwheels, & one Galoob di cast metal Enterprise-D:
Some (but not all) of my Shattered Glass Transformers:
What little I have of my Toy Biz Marvel toys from the 90's:
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's USS Defiant has been a minor grail of mine for a long time. I found it last year (2023) at a video game store of all places:
My Actionmasters some Super7 re-action figure transformers:
Some of my 3rd Party Transformers:
A Mix of Super7 and McDonald's Happy Meal Power Rangers:
Looks like some miscellaneous figures such as Masters of the Universe, Indiana Jones, Chun Li, and some more Transformers, naturally:
Some of my Masterpiece Beast Wars figures along with some of my Trans Art figures too:
And the hodgepodge of my Legacy, Classics, thrilling 30, etc Transformers:
The USS Excelsior (Playmates) & Captain Picard:
And a few Beast Wars, Heroes of Cybertron and chibi-like Beast Wars figures:
Well that was it, and I hope you liked it.
Lego
Ghostbusters
Item #: 21108 (2013)
This is a set I got back in 2015 for Christmas and then...never got around to putting it together....
Well, I decided to change all that, because on Mar 23, 2024, the same weekend as the premiere of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire I decided to finally live stream a Lego build (My second one, actually)
I was actually inspired to do Lego builds because for Christmas (2023) I got my girl friend Van Gogh's Starry Night (She loves Starry Night) and she's never built a Lego set before. She spent a week putting it together, with only a little help from me in the beginning.
So it just kinda got me thinking, and inspired me to do the Ghostbusters & The Yellow Submarine sets (will get into that at another post).
The Ghostbusters:
Peter, Egon, Ray & Winston are all represented here in Lego form.
I thought ti was pretty funny how all the figures have alternate scared faces that are opposite sides.
If I were to voice one complaint about this set it's that you get to build four proton pack and one ghost trap, but there's no PKE meter. Like, what the heck?
Ecto-1:
The Ecto-1 was of course the star of this show, and the most fun to put together.
Here are the completed Ghostbusters and Ecto-1 along with the Beatles yellow Submarine, some nanoblock Pokemon, and Van Gogh's Starry Night.
Click on the link below to my youtube channel, featuring my lego build of this set.
