problem solving steps

yes, something you've all been waiting for... but seriously thank you for everyone's reaction to this abomination it's so stupid yet funny how everyone genuinely wanted their own. you guys are sick in the head (just like me)

so to get started, here's the supplies you'll need:

one boba straw (those wide ones) (it's recommended that it's black also)

four bendy straws

the template + paper and printer i guess but that's a no brainer

scissors

tape, preferably transparent

if you dont have any of them then uhh... :D

anyways! here's the template for you to print out first and foremost. I made them vertical so you can just paste them in a document and print it. you can adjust the size depending on how big you want your friend to be.

anyways, now that you have your template printed, you should probably cut them out into various pieces.

small detail but remember to color the back of lupin's head (1) black so that he actually looks like he has hair on the back of his head. if you're worried that the marker ink would bleed through the other side, just get a small slip of paper and color it black, then tape it at the back of (1) and trim if necessary.

this is very optional but i also decided to coat the pieces with tape so he'd be more sturdy and be less prone to ripping off. he'll also be unstoppable. one tip i want to give is to lay the sticky part of the tape on a flat surface and then carefully put the front part of the paper piece on top of it, so that there wouldn't be any wrinkles or screw ups. you can totally screw up on the back side though, nobody's gonna see it.

now that you have all your pieces cut out and perhaps laminated as well, take (1) and tape it at the tip of the boba straw. then, take (2) and tape it on top of the straw, and (3) at the bottom side of the straw. remember to cut off a portion of the straw if it's poking out of lupin's butt.

if done right, then it would look like this

so we got the body done!!! hooray!!

now it's time for the four limbs. take (4), and roll them into cynlinders about as wide as the boba straw, then use the extra flap to tape them together. i also had to tape it outside to make sure it doesnt detach. it's a pretty tough task, so take it slow!

so with the four cylinders now taped up, cut the middle of them into triangles so it forms a diamond shape at the bottom side, with the top still intact so that it doesnt rip into 2 pieces! with this, you can bend them 90 degrees.

then, slide the straw with the bendy part in the cylinder, and bend the straw so the cylinder is permanently bent. do this with the rest of the limbs.

next, tape (5) and (6) at the straws and now lupin has proper hands and legs... then, cut a short piece of the boba straw and if it's not black, color it black with a marker. this will be for the cuffs lupin have at the end of his jacket sleeve, just slid them in carefully in the sleeves and it would hopefully look like that.

last step! tape up all the limbs to the main body!!! it's recommended to tape it at the bottom if you want his limbs to dangle like mine. but if you want it to be stay standing 4 legged, then also tape it up at the top side too.
