Seer of Time

I’ve been doing OCtober instead of inktober–basically where I draw a new OC every day of October! This was from last night: an Iranian American mom and her kids returning from the mosque, based on stuff I see when I frequent the masjid near me. More illustrative than a character-design related work, but an original character is an original character nevertheless!

This guy gave me a lot of trouble, because there are so many awesome First Age!Sauron designs kicking around the fandom? But I started thinking of his eye motif, and what kind of animal imagery I could give him and MOTHS. The answer is moths. As a favor to me, please fullview this, because I didn’t spend more time than I care to admit detailing his stupid fiddly armor for you not to fullview this. 

I did a pencil-sketch personal comic about depression and the fallout from finishing a major creative project. It’s available via Twitter.
